Q's Re Typhoon Mods And Parts Available To Swap
Thanks Nick I agree with you on those lights - I wish I could see them on a black F6 now. As for towing, that's never going to happen.

Q's Re Typhoon Mods And Parts Available To Swap
I have decided that I will be buying an F6, black, 6 speed auto, brembos, leather, roof sat nav. I'll have to wait a couple of months before the BF Typhoon is available in a 6 speed auto. Until then, I'm planning a few minor mods. This vehicle will be leased through my employer, so the mods will need to be discreet, subtle and not void warranty (for now). Although I'm yet to see the rumoured optional 19 inch wheels on the BF F6, the first thing I will do is put 19inch aftermarket wheels on the car. The current F6 18's just don't do it for me. My Q is, would anyone here be interested in a brand new set of F6 rims when I take delivery of my car? What would they be worth to you? The wheels I have in mind are Konig Unknown - 19 by 9.5. They are the nicest 5 spoke variation rim I've found to suit the Black Typhoon What do you think? I also don't want this car to have a rear wing - I don't like the F6 wing at all. I asked the Ford dealer if I could order the car with no wing, and they said NO. Is there anyone here with a new/close to new Black BA clean boot that wants a boot panel with an F6 wing? What have other Typhoon owners done to their exhausts? Has anyone had one of these Herrods quad setups fitted? What about F6 intercoolers? They are 50% bigger than the standard XR6T, but still nowhere near the size of the APS intercooler I had. Are F6 owners happy with the IC or are you replacing them? If so, with what? I don't particularly like the fact they are off centre either - looks freckin stupid. Has anyone heard whether the BA tailights spoken of months ago are available yet? Aussie cars in Melton are still waiting on them. The BF's are supposed to get different tailights, but if the F6 tailights are the same as the XT taxis, I'm changing mine over. Finally, I'm keen to hear what sort of gains F6 owners have had with custom tuned EDIT software. The F6 gets stronger engine internals, valve springs and oil cooler...but I wonder what the auto will be like, I'm presuming it will have a much greater capacity to handle extra torque. Thanks guys

Can't Decide - F6 Or Gtp?
Well, I went for another drive in a GT yesterday. It was a manual. I sooooo wanted to love it, but I didn't. Sure, the bulge looked great, and the sound was solid, but I couldn't help but feel the weight of the car. I didn't like the gearbox at all either. I really wished the car would stir me a little, but it didn't. The power delivery was ordinary, and I couldn't justify the $30K + more than a standard XR8. I'm not knocking the car at all - the GT is an awesome car - just explaining what I felt when I drove it last night. It didn't excite me in the slightest. I know there is the option of supercharger or twin turbo, but a car with this much power and the top of the food chain when it comes to FPV's, I just expected more from the stocky GT. Maybe the last 2.5 years have conditioned me to appreciate the Turbo 6 over the V8. I'll be going down the Typhoon path - 6 speed auto, Black, 19 inch wheels, roof, leather, brembos. What sort of mods have some of you F6 owners done to your cars?

Can't Decide - F6 Or Gtp?
Does anyone know who does twin turbo kits for the BOSS engine? What about cost? How does this compare with the price of a supercharger?

Can't Decide - F6 Or Gtp?
Lumpy, Summed it up well mate. Except I reckon I'll stick to the factory 19's.

Can't Decide - F6 Or Gtp?
Mondie, you're right mate. I LOVE the GTP 19's - they are the hottest factory wheels going around right now - much better than the Typhoon's 18's. When do we find out about the possibility of 19's on the F6? A black F6 with 19's, no wing, yumm.

Can't Decide - F6 Or Gtp?
Did you feel as though you were robbed of the satisfaction of the V8 when you changed? I dunno...my old XR6T was certainly faster and louder than an F6 would be. I'm not sure if I'll feel a bit of 'ho-hum' if I was to buy an F6. They do look great though...and they have a certain edge about them that I like.

Can't Decide - F6 Or Gtp?
If your happy not to have a car that wont set the drag strips on fire but can certainly hold its own on the street and you not concerned about the petrol side of things then the GT is for you and IMHO its the toughest looking ford in Aus,I've got just under 270 rwklw for $2300 and another $1800 should give me around 20-25 rwklw were as a auto F6 will cost around $1400 and put you straight into the 12's Why I bought a V8 1 was that before my T's I had a super charged Au xr8 and I missed the rawness and instant torque,2/ I've had two T's and once the pwr bug get's you its hard to stop and I knew theres only so much you can do with the V8 (well before you have to spend some serious money) and 3/ I just wanted to own a GT Good luck with it Dave PS:But after saying that if I dont put a supercharger on my GT my next car will be a Turbo <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Good comments DBOSS. PASHEN was a very unique car. Even after 2.5 years, I never felt as though I could afford to be lazy or relaxed while driving it, such was the way in which it drove. I don't want back-snapping acceleration now. I want a car that looks tough, still has plenty of power when I need it, and it must sound good. I miss V8's... I almost ordered a Black GTP with white stripes and bonnet decals, minus the rear wind yesterday. You're right - it's the toughest looking car in Australia right now. Still undecided though.

Can't Decide - F6 Or Gtp?
lol Great idea, except it will have to be PASHN8 to fit.

Can't Decide - F6 Or Gtp?
Hi guys, I'm at a loss trying to decide what to buy after selling PASHEN. I originally thought it would be a GT, coz there's nothing like the sound and feel of a V8. But I'm also crazy about the Typhoon - the sound of a snail spooling up and boogying just rocks my world. Any modified T owners upgraded to a GT,what were your reasons and are you glad you did? How about modified T owners that have upgraded toa Typhoon? This time round, I'm not interested in outright acceleration and power. It's about the look, daily drivability and satisfaction. Cheers Dave

Pashen Sold & Going To Sydney
Its the end of a chapter. PASHEN has been sold and is going to Sydney this week. The buyer is from Prestons NSW. He was the winning bid on E-Bay and has paid $47,500 for a car he hasn't even seen. He is a car enthusiast, and from talking to him, sounds like an awesome guy who can't wait. He has seen the car in Street Fords, and wanted it since. It will be sad to say goodbye to this car as it feels like my child (yeah, I know I need treatment), but it's going to a good home. Trent has asked to be referred to a good tuning house that specialises in EDIT and T's in Sydney. If anyone here can recommend the best tuning house in Sydney, I'd appreciate it. Also, if anyone know's the best way to freight the car from Melb to Sydney, please offer your suggestions. Thanks for enjoing the ride with me guys. Time for a new chapter.

Street Ford Pics Of Pashen
Luke, it's fine with me if people say that mate. I know whether my car goes or not, and I'm not that interested in knowing just how fast it goes to need to take it to Calder. The best of my 3 runs measured by G-tech (over 12 months ago) were at 11.86@119 mph on street tyres This was before the Yarra Valley Auto and converter and the custom tuned EDIT. These runs were for my info only...and I know it feels even quicker now. My intention was never to be the 1/4 mile King. I just wanted a fast T that looked great and had all the toys I wanted. I reckon I've acheived that. I am rarely at home these days due to work. If on the odd chance I'm in Melbourne on a Friday, I'd rather be spending time with Rachelle and the kids. I'm happy to be called "all show and no go"...coz I know different (as do most try- hards on the street) - that's all that matters to me.

Some were taken in the Keilor Park industrial estate, some near Diggers Rest, but the best one's (posted here) were taken on a back road in Sunbury.

More Mods To My Car Pictures
Adam, awesome intrcooler mate - your car is a freakin' weapon mate! You've pushed the limits and have the fastest T in the land. Did you have this much fun or accolades when you were a HSV man driving in your GTO? I doubt you would have been within 1-2 seconds of your T's time in the GTO... The wheels? All personal opinions, and it's your choice - but I hate them. You've turned a menacing looking T (probably the nicest white T I've seen) into what looks like a pimpmobile (ok, a bloody fast one!) You should have kept your old 5 spokers...they were hot. Well done mate, all credit to you.
