  1. if you are going with Kings go with the 520/310 spring rates at least.
  2. yes, with guard work. if you want the low offset "flush" look you need to pay admission
  3. yes its farked. I dont know how my parts showed up ahead of schedule. get the part numbers from the dealer and then email / phone until they grease the squeaky wheel.
  4. If I was going to build a money is no object circuit destroyer I'd be looking for a GT-R. No doubt. Comparisons of 150k coupes and 70k sedans are irrelevant........comparisons of 8 year old coupes and brand new sedans from a value perspective are also irrelevant. The potential of a GT-R with deep pockets is higher than an XR6T from an all round performance stand point, as one would bloody well expect.......once is built is a high performance supercar killer, the other a sports sedan with humble taxi roots! bang for buck drag racing then the XR6T is king. balls out circuit work its no contest for a properly sorted GT-R. But then again the thread is about Skylines....the majority of which are not GT-Rs........I wouldnt take any Skyline GTST or whatever over my F6.
  5. Tochi I actually thought the responses on here were pretty even handed . If you think the punters here are blinkered go talk up oz cars on ozhonda or skylinesaustralia lol
  6. Ok, I'll be heading down to WP on 25 July with Circuit Club....will be fun mixing it up with the Japs. Will get booked up next week.
  7. I have made a claim, there was no issue as mods were listed and they didnt want to see any certs. bear in mind however choice of repairer is very limited, either send it to the AAMI centre or pick off a small list of their approved repairers.
  8. LIVEWIRE AUTO ELECTRICAL
  9. ZAP AUTO ELECTRICAL
  10. the biggest difference you will feel will be the sway bars, then the bushes. whiteline sells the end links.
  11. good point on the rose jointed end links.......I should get a set.
  12. Jman, a lot of these cars arent quick. Drag racing isnt my interest, ive seen them at the circuit with nankangs, chinese coilovers, stock brakes and little power. just sh*tboxes.....a lot of them are damn old now too, a STOCK R32 GTR is hardly exciting and I would wager a FG XR6T would smoke it in a drag race AND on the circuit.......these are damn old cars now with tired engines and creaky chassis. there are some excellent Japanese cars, and then there are a lot that are just average cheap buys for the young drift types. At the end of the day there isnt a good answer to this question anyway.
  13. I disagree on getting the biggest sways you can. 27/22 with your kings is about right. with 30mm front will push the nose too much and deaden steering........bigger sway bars also mean faster breakaway, and minimise slip angle which street tyres are designed to run at. dont confuse flat cornering with improved grip.......in many cases it just gives the driver more confidence but less mechanical grip. the real answer is big spring rates, but big $$ to get the right shocks for them, so what you have now plus adjustable 27/22 and good tyres is a good compromise for everyday use imho
  14. ok, I'll admist last nights episode was somewhat enjoyable.......better than previous episodes which just plain sucked.
  15. ^ Falcons are fine for corners at the speed limit Dags.
  16. "SKYLINES" is a big generalisation, there are some very tough GTRs out there, but piles of sh*tbox GTSTs and the like owned by kids with no dough and 110kw at the wheels....
  17. braided brake lines, standard and brembo.
  18. ok lads, saga is over......all the parts are on the car. thank christ. now I will start washing it again!
  19. yeah the crescent moon is a common islamic symbol. good mods, plazmaman make good stuff.
  20. thanks mate. sorry guys im out, too long a day for me. have a good one
  21. guys I'd be keen to know what time this kicks off, ie. what time we'd have to set up and what time we can knock off?
  22. so whats the go guys, how many cars have we got. I've got my car back, just need to clean it up, and I think I'll be free that day.
  23. yes, definately keen!

I dont get it, the claim to be Outlaws, 1%ers etc but they complain when the cops hammer them? LOL.
  25. warped rotors is the shudder, The damn things would be glazed / warped and the pads likely glazed too from operating above their temp range - ie. anything spirited. soft pedal will be from water in the lines, the fluid will have boiled and be cooked. new pads + rotors + fluid. a good time to upgrade to better than stock.
