Quick update! Went to have a look at the car today and its all ready for me to pick up tomorrow. Looks tops! Picking it up at 5pm and will post pics asap, they recon its going to rain here so it might spoil the pics! Booked it in for tint on Thursday too, getting 28 grade film. Will look sweet! Cant wait. HEHEHEHE

You must be doing pretty good if you can get insurance for a Turbo ute with no insurance history and still being in your teens! Also good luck with the power to weight ratio rule and your big red P plates. Good luck to you anyway!

The worst thing about this whole thing is that after having the BA for a 24 hour test drive I now have to drive my EL for another week. What a difference that is. BTW this thing has illuminated power window switches and the footwell lights too. Nice.

I bought a 2002 Fairmont today as per title. Traded up from a 96 EL GLi, I got a very good trade-in on my car plus I got the BA for a very good price too. I will pick it up mid next week as there are a few minor things that need doing. The car is Navy Blue with Ghia driving light, plus its getting the headlights converted to XT, Ghia type. I hate the silver headlights. I am as happy as a pig in sh&t atm and am looking forward to picking it up next week. I will post pics when I get it and will post pics of the progress with mods. First thing is some 28 grade tint, set of super lows and some deep dish shadow chrome 18's. As much as I wanted a Turbo I just could not justify paying $2500 a year to insure it, plus I could not get a Turbo for under 35k here in WA. I looked at NA XRs but most of them are just plain with no options and still 30k+. I got the Fairmont for lot less then 30k plus it has all the features you could ever want, I love luxury. I am 21 atm and am happy with how things are going, Turbo will be my next car when I turn 24. WOO HOO

Tell me about it!! Here in WA its the same price used or new pretty much!! I have not seen one Turbo under 35k, ute or sedan. ..............plus not to mention the great customer service you get from Ford sales people. Worth gold

You can get the 35 grade whick is darkest legal here in Aust. Then you can go darker to 28 grade and 20 grade. If you plan on doing other things to you car such as lowering then got fo 28 grade as the 20 will attrack the boys in blue. 28 grade is dark but not too dark. I dont understand why it is not legal considering the heat we have here. Good luck. Also you should get it done for no more then $250 for a sedan!

Some of you blokes must make a killing if you are that young and own a 50K car plus property!! I am 21 and buying a block of land and looking at a T. But the T might be a long shot now. Insurance would be $3500 a year on a 35k used T, that's more then the repayments. F%^# that.

How many of you the people who are under 30 and drive a T have invested in property, ie have a house or land etc?? Perhaps more directed at the under 25s!! memphis, your are only 20 and your misses already has your balls in a vice??

Hey Bully, I have seen your ute a few times. Seen on the road and parked in a yard accross the road from Harvey Norman on Stock Rd. Looks pretty good.

They are a good reliable car that is pretty good on the petrol... You see them over here with 100,000 miles on them running strong, so whats that, 160,000km! The one I was looking at has done 100k and they are imported from America. The interior finish is 10/10.

......yea I have my neons ready, all 42 of them! Its going to be the anual royal show on wheels when its done! At the moment I want a newer car then my EL, and something better on fuel. The Accord is the only nice car I can think off that appeals to me, I have looked at a few options. Its big, it looks good, has a nice interior and wont fall appart because it is a Honda afteral. I have plans to buy an investment property soon so the 40k car will have to wait. Plus the Ford dealers here in WA are pretty good at trying to rip people off, like 37k for an used NA XR with no options or 40-42k for a used T.........yea right!! What the is up with all the Ford salesman?? I still want a T, better still a FPV T, but it will have to wait. The Accord is just an option ATM. I love my EL but I am borred with it, I've had it for 4 years and its time to move on. Anyways better get back to polishing my neons and the chome muffler with 5 inch tip! :lol:

can't seem to log on at all. I've tried restarting the PC with no luck I've tried to go into SAFEMODE with no luck I've tried loading the CD with XP with no luck if anybody out there can shed some light and help me rectify this would appreciate it This is on my main PC...as at the moment l'm working off my laptop. I guess this is on your home PC?? If so then is it networked?? I also assume that if it is your home PC you will have a local profile. Try to log on to the PC using another logon or the administrator logon (assuming someone else has a logon and profile with sufficient permissions on the same PC). If you can get this far then copy you entire profile folder from (C:\Documents and Setting) to a different location. Then delete you user profile and create a new one for yourself. Try logging in using the new profile. If this works then get all your documents and files from the folder you copied earlier. Let us know how you go.

If you are buying a 2003 car its still under NCW so most issues should be covered. One thing to watch out for is that you dont get ripped off!! I went to a dealer yesterday to have a look a used XR and I wlked out because the saleman was such a wa*%er!
