According to that tomb of accuracy - Naomi on Today tonight last night reckons that young guys who speed a lot have SAD. "Speed addiction disorder". Apparently, doctors have found this out when trying to work out why young blokes speed. The story like the rest of the crap that is night TV was as usual a beat up. It even showed Gary Wilmington saying that he loved going fast. They made it out to be a disease. Well Naomi I have news for you. Its an epidemic and it been around for over one hundred years. Its called racing. and if you reckon its a sickness then your right it is. Better to have tihs one than SPD Scruby pedestrian disease.................. Onel of the only known treatments. Drop the clutch in a Xr6T...... Long live this disease. If we get cured we will all end up with a Toyota PRIUS in the driveway. or worse - a Camry sportivo............... Naomi -

  10. Well its tough, there are tolls everywhere, but you do have roads wider than one lane - unlike Brisbane that is now gridlocked because of our hopless State Government! Its crap in every CAPITAL. Lets all move to say Lithgow. Then if you do have to go to Sydney, you can have a punt along the Bells line of Road. No Mufties at Lithgow mate. Too cold for em....

    How many points for that?
  14. DBOSS Its not an issue of money. My wifes Mazda 2 has none of the niggling ises many T's have. It cost 19k on the road. We are not comparing perfomance, not quality.
  15. Well its the quality control we seem to have accepted from Ford. Some wil say we should have better for 50k. Should we? how can we? The car is ood value and the performance is what you buying. If you want all those little bits a pieces to be right then another brand might be what you need. No car is perfect, but Ford are a long way from being right in these picky areas. Subaru and Mazda are prime examples. They deliver cars with service and quality that Ford and Expensive Daewoo dream of. At competive prices. Yes no doubt there is a member who has had a bad one of these as well, but overall, when you look at the volume Ford and Expensive Daewoo sell, you would think that their quality control would be better. They dont make a lot of cars so you would think there is less chance of a dud getting through! The very fact that some members have certain issues and some dont shows to me anyway inconsistent monitoring of the finished product as it leaves the gate and then the stealership. When I picked up my T it had no gearbox oil in it. How can that happen when a car is predelivered? Well it does becasue they have no passion about their product. It flows from the ill informed saleperson (who should know more about the car than you, but don't) to the evasive and dismiisive service manager, right to Dealer Principal that is interested in numbers not customers. When you take your car in for service you expect "Yes sir we wil fix it" not "No mate they all do that! Brakes, tailshafts, turbos, water leaks, they have them all in abundance. My engine was one of the first in Aus to fail. Ford were good about it. It took 2 weeks to fix, but did they fix it for everyoine else? No they did not. They knew the valve springs were weak, but did they undertake a recall? No they did not. And that's why I drive another brand currently. I really wish it was better as I woujld have an F6 now....... If you are really conerned about quality of your car, you will buy something else next time! Dallas
