  1. Well ahd the leak sorted today, turns out it was a dodgy brass washer on the oil feed line to the turbo. All fixed, all cleaned, all good.
  2. well it hasnt been flogged yet so I doubt it would be anything major, even if it was im sure being a week old its scrapes in for a warranty job. sh*t happens but other than that car is awesome
  3. I havent had a good look yet cos I couldnt be bothered jacking it up but it looks like it coming from the back of the sump so I assumed it mightve just been a sh*tty gasket
  4. not sure if anyone with an Fg has had this prob yet but I just noticed I have a decent oil leak already after 1600km, looks like its back to the dealer already :(
  5. that is awesome wish they were over Dandenong way. anyone know of anyone over this way that does a good job?
  6. paint on my FG ute looks pretty damn good to me
  7. finally picked her up friday, 1300km in 3 days, cant keep me out of it.
  8. my old man has a VE Statesman and the paint quality is absolute crap for a 60k car, the best part of the paint job is where it was repaired after a shunt!!! my old Hiace had a better paint job lol, pick up my FG tomorrow and im sure the paint will be the last thing on my mind.
  9. pick mine up tomorrow!!!!! you beauty, should be worth the 2 and a half month wait!!
  10. mine is built, should be at dealer tomorrow aparantly
  11. mines now built and on its way to the dealer WOOHOO!!
  12. Hey senna is there any chance that if you get bored you could check up on sido 362105 for me at some stage. Thanks heaps mate Shane
  13. definately trying to detonate, I agree
  14. the common opinion here to me seems to be the Hilux is not worth 72K rather than comparing it to the TT, I think an SR5 if overpriced in the 50K bracket. therefore I agree 72K is steep, whether its limited edition or not doesnt matter as id hardly say TRD is all that desirable having only just been introduced to Aus. Cant compare, yes agree Better value for money, TT all the way regardless.
  15. Hey everyone Seeing a few happy people on here with their nice new FG sedans and was wondering if anyone has been lucky enough to have taken delivery of a FG turbo ute yet, and if so how are they?? Sick of waiting for mine so I thought id live off someone elses enjoyment till mine arrives
  16. R33 GTS-T Skyline
  17. Well said MGR, I agree.
  18. Hey BOBO where abouts did you get yours from and was that outright or after trade Cheers
  19. I ordered octane ute, manual, lux, tech and tow packs back in late may and apparently its due at dealer on 30th July, also apparently not in production till this week sometime so not liking my chances. thatll be about 10-11 weeks :(
  20. damn, that's cheaper than advertised price without dealer del and on roads, who did u sleep with to get that price or is that for a business so tax rebate included?
  21. this cant be a serious queston surely?? Im quite sure you dealer isnt stupid enough to put the wrong towbar on there to void their own warranty mate
  22. I originally ordered Ego for my FG XR6T ute but changed my mind at last second and switched to Octane.
  23. last time I looked in any industry a warranty period is set and if a fault happens outside of warranty then its bad luck, if every manufacturer had lifetime warranty then all car makers would be out of business lol and we would all be riding pushies hahaha oh and I had the current model hilux flat tray SR, auto V6, as a work bus and while the build quality and engine and gearbox are absolutely awesome for this kind of vehicle the thing didnt like trying to stop or going round corners and it was soooo stiff in suspension it was a bounce-athon. our old 2000 courier drove heaps better, was just gutless
