  1. Its a VDO unit... I had it dealer fitted in an FG, then fitted the same one into a BF2.... I'll have to look at mine, but the speed and red light camera option was under a different menu from memory.....
  2. Issues with big injectors is easily fixed by setting the correct scalar's for the injector... If you use DEKA's, you need to change from the stock values to the correct deka ones... Not try and work around it, by fudging high and low slopes. I have 60's in my BFII and I think they are better than standard in terms of idle quality.. no soot, no black rear bar....
  3. Hey mate.. Would you still have 2 keys available? Thanks, Jason
  4. I have a 12psi actuator and the FG housing with the bigger flapper... Overboost only occurs during gear changes on the zf box... Could be that its the timing retard which causes this?
  5. Keep us posted... I have seen the same overboost on a number of cars myself... Everyone seems to think its normal with factory boost control.
  6. I've seen 3 unmarked F6's down in the gong.. Green, Orange and Blue
  7. The only 255/40/17 which are made to suit an 8" rim (and stated as that by the manufacturer) are the Federal RSR 595's.... All the other 255/40/17 tyres I have found require an 8.5" rim. Jason
  8. 255's are the largest you can legally go on an 8.5" rim. 275's on 9" rim 285's on 9.5" rim 295's on a 10" rim Goodluck
  9. [quote name= turbo' date='29 December 2009 - 09:17 PM' timestamp='1262085437' post='966757] I am looking at doing the plenum change what is your feedback? is it worth it? Depends on what you want.. if you want to keep a stealth look, then I would say no.... After the plenum, I got the same power 325rwkw on 12 psi (vs 15psi and the acutator maxed out). The actuator being maxed out was largely due to the stock intake piping with the F6 snorkel. Trouble here was my valve springs wouldnt let me run over 12psi. There was no loss in the power or torque curve, boost curve was much much smoother, and throttle response was defintely much better, all on 3 psi less. Then when you add a 4" intake on as well, your looking at 50 odd rwkw over the previous setup.... Havent had a chance to go back for a final tune after the valve springs... But I know its now running 15psi instead of the 12psi.. and it moves Will be going back in the new year for a final touch up on the dyno
  10. I have a 10/07 BFII... Was running std crossover, 3.5" exhaust, PW Cooler, F^ airbox, 15psi boost and it was fine (325rwkw). Changed to the process west plenum and 4" intake and immediately had valve spring issues at anything over 12psi and could only muster up around 315rwkw.... Valve springs upgraded and problem solved Car only had 60,000km on the clock.... Doesnt seem that all BFII's were created equal
  11. I ran 325rwkw on 15psi with the stage 1 cooler... Has plenty more in it... Only thing that stopped me was the standard crossover, so upgraded to the plenum which meant an upgrade to the stage 2 cooler to fit the new pipework
  12. I run a 18x9 with a 38 offset on the rear of my car.. with 275 rubber.. fit fine with no guard lipping. The issue you have is the rim will hit the mount of the blade... I cant even fit my finger between my rim and the blade there.. yet you will be adding 6mm extra rim to start with, then another 7mm of offset....... 45 offset might be ok on a 19 though....
  13. I was running the 245/45/17 RT615's on my BFII... Great tyre, but still struggled to hold 325rwkw with decent torque..... They can be had for $250ea in 17's... I'd have them on my 18" now, but were priced $420+ a corner... The Kumho KU36's are going for a BARGAIN price at the moment, worth a look. The only 255 17" tyre that is approved to fit an 8" rim is the Federal RS595's.... All the other tyre manufacturer's recommend 8.5" Im now running 18" rims, with Kumho KU36 in 245/40/18 which can be had for a bargain price at the moment with 275/35/18 Toyo RA1's at the back... Now they stick like glue
  14. Just to jump in on the plenum debate.... I run now run a PW plenum on my car after running kev's stage 1 kit... Went in first with the following: PW Stage 1 Cooler Hot Side piping Bosch pump and surge tank Tunehouse 4" exhaust F6 CAI Dynoed 325rwkw on 15 psi..... Then changed the cooler to Stage 2, added the PW Race intake and fitted the plenum... It made the same power on 12psi... Boost couldnt be raised due to the car now experiencing valvespring issues... Interesting, the power curve was near identical (no losses anywhere) and held onto the power longer on 3psi less boost.... Torque delivery and throttle response is much improved as well.... On the road, power hits much harder than the Stage 1 with 15psi..... Car will be going back on the dyno shortly....
