Does the sound vary if you vary pressure on the go pedal? I have a Nizpro Stage 2. The induction noise is phenominal. However, at low or mid accell the induction sound like air being sucked through an air filter. Ok DER. But when you give it more, its like it all comes together and the sound is unbeleivable. Whine, and spool up and just this sound like its a bloody F1-11. Not my point is, different ambient temperature will affect air density, (Again der) and it maybe that as it gets hottoer, the air passing over that suspect joing changes density and you get a different sound. Is it tuned? Are you getting it tuned? Id assume you have oif your running 8psi. Take it back to the Tuner, to someone who has half an idea. Ford only know what the can get money out of your for. The things service managers have told be about my car when I know they were totoally wrong wwould amaze you. According to my service manager, there is no other oil filter othr than the engine oil filter.

Did the Ford guys drive it and feel the shudder? Man I feel for you. I have a rattle in my back hed that's is driving me mad. I had it in my NA as well. I think its the way I drive. Serious question though, what will you do if you sell the T, ge something else and 2 months down the track....brake shudder? There are so many componenst at the front of these things. May I suggest you spend $14 at pedders and get them to do their safet check. May turn up nothing but you never know. For $14 or whatever it is, its money well spent IMO

Anyone Running Kings Kffl-57Ssl Front And Kfrl-68Sssl Rear?
Rudiger replied to xpl0sive's topic in Suspension and Handling
I went from standard height to ssl in the rear of my BF and the difference was enormous. They are not only lower but a higher rate spring so stiffer. Mine sat up in the ass end any way and isnt as low as rspecs, but by lowering it, it stopped the tendency for the rar to want to come around and meet the front on some corners. -
You sure its actually not a 4 speed auto?? Sorry mate. I'm amazed no one else took that. I did a bike course once on a BMW. I complained to the instructor thatthere was something wrong with my bike as it wouldnt change into 6th. "that's cause its a bloody 5 speed ya goose" Seriously though, sounds like its going into limp mode when it wont change. DOes the gear slector light flash at all? MS700, that's your solution to everything.

Free beer? Mate, send some cans down to Melbourne and ill talk you through it on the phone. Mind you, after the 3rd can I won't make much sense. You wanted the guges behind the dash didnt ya? hiccup

I will champ. Now go back to your MTV. lol

You mean the ones that clamp the sway bar on? Sign me up Pat. How much??? Are there ones for the front too??? I think the bars themselves are ok. Youve seen the car around bends Pat and you were happy. I don't think I'll let them touch my car again. I removed the rear and re packed the hell out of the bushes with grease and its quieter now...a little.

I'm starting to think that. I had the option of the whiteline. Should have taken it when I had the chance.

Yeah got them Hiddeous. They are great. I think you are right there though. Its the same with all the nylon gear. A bit of noise. The diff bush whines a bit but the radio fixes that, besides I can hardly here it over the sound of the bloody bosche fuel pump. ARRRGH. It never ends.

Hi. I have Pedders sways front and rear on my BF MkII. There are as creaky as all sh1t. Have been from about a week after I had them put in. the the back seems to make the rear so bloody noisy. Anyone else had this or any problems, not so much with the pedders, but with any upgraded sways??

I can be a bit sarcastic so I'll clear it up for ou. There are those that say, if you just get a tune and re flash it back to stock before you get it serviced, then Ford won't know and you keep your warranty. However, the pit fall with that is if they re flash your car with software updates, you over ride this when you re programme it with your performance tune. Some say Ford can tell you are doing this. Others say just leave it as is with the performance flash in it. The other way to go is to get a tune plus any other mods, ie cooler, injectors, whatever, and be up front with your dealer as to what you have had done. I fail to understand how they can void your warranty for a radio just cause you have changed injectors. But some dealers do. Look, its a gamble. If you mod, you MAY void your warranty. But, and here is the big but that NO ONE on this forum will EVER disagree with and it is the one law we ALL go by..... YOU PLAY, YOU PAY! And by that you can take it to mean that you will pay for mods and performance (which you will) or you will pay in the end for voiding warranty. But look, in all seriousness, the Turbo you have bought is just a great car, without mods, its a rocket. But spend a little bit of money...and WOW!!. As far as warranty goes, they try and wiggle out of fixing things for you all the time. Wether youve modded or not. I hope that clears it a bit.

A good point you make Bomber. Too many get caught up in the numbers game. But I've learnt its driveability of the car. There are so many cars with less power than mine (claimed) that are quicker. And I think mine is great around town. Bloody savage on WOT. Dunno about the B series being worth nothin though. that's a tad harsh.

dnb. Dont listen to anyone. Keep your money and keep your warranty mate. Drive around nice as pie with a little bit of go from your little wizzy for 3 years and with the money you have saved then go out and get yourself a tune. Drive it from the tuner, give it a bit then go home. Sit in the corner and cry your eyes out when you realise what you have missed out on for the past 3 years. Warranty? Whats that? This is how Ford work. You put a bigger intercooler in, and because of that they wont warranty your electric windows. Think I'm joking? Try and get something fixed under warranty WITHOUT mods. Hopeless. Go and get a decent tune. Once you do you'll be hooked. When you take it in for service, reflash it back to standard. Simple. Mines got 370 at the wheels. The thing is an absolute weapon. Its is dam near undriveable when angry. But its my work car and I take the kids to school in it. Just clocked over the 100,000 ks. The way these things are once your foot gets used to the power level, no one would ever know its modified or powerful....except those in the know. As far as I'm concerned, apart from those twins up in Sydney some years back, a good tune is the best money you can spend. Actually, I take it back. The twins were trash. Your biggest problem now is to sort through the rhetoric and pick a tuner. You can either go to a good one and get a good tune, or go with numbers and get a lot of claimed power. No names no pack drill, but do your research, talk to people, and most importantly, be happy with your Tuner. Good luck and let us know what you get.

Mate, Im not savvy regarding electrial stuff but from what I read they dont give enough resistance for the indicator relay to heat up and go on and off and on and off. When one of ya indicator globs go, it will flash really quickly showing theres not a closed circuit and the same thing happens. Its easy enough to get around. Jaycar sell whatever it is you need and it isnt expensive. Do a search and I'm sure you will find the post on here somwhere. I was looking into it but just havent had the time to move forward with it. I know Rusty_xr6 bought some LEDs for the lower driving lights. No ectra wiring needed, just plug straight in. He got them off ebay. But indicators are a different story.

Deek, Bethany gets sunburnt from the reflection of UV off the full moon. I'm not much better. Poor ol Gary though. No hat. OUCH! That GT was simply amazing. I wish I had taken a pic of that transit van though. Annoyed at myself for missing that.
-
My apologies. I read the post, got distracted then wrote my reply. You are right re brake versus indicators. You need it for the indicators for the flasher to heat up sufficient. Brakes are different. Well picked up Forddriver1. Apologies Spoolax.
-
What extra PIDS do you have??
-
Shouldnt need a retune, not for a pod filter. Try a growler from SS inductions. The battery relocation is not as hard as it sounds but I think re doing the piping would be a b1tch.
-
My understanding is that they need some form of resiter on the circuit of the indicators will flash like there is a globe missing. The ones you have may already have this, but that is what I have read. I have LEDs on my number plate light. They look good.
-
13 to go. Shoul PM all vic members Dillz.
-
Um did somebody say something? Um who, where, um, oh sorry I was distracted. We didnt get them to pose infront of our cars as we didnt want the girls to look bad.......and they would have in front of our booful babies. (Gary, I'd forgotten you took that. ) Dagabond.......u are just.........nasty. lol
-
Oh yes. Garys oh so subtle nudge.
-
Ha ha good on ya Gary. I was just teling my brother about that postie van. Unreal. There were a couple of Escorts Deeks and I looked at. One had the same Garret turbo that we all run, jammed in next to a twin cam something or other. Then there was the big Lincoln Continental: The car you dont pay rego for....you pay RATES!!! So HUGE!!! Just a bit demotrilising thopugh, you polish and shine and think your car is pristine and then you see some guy pull some brand new floor mats out of plastic and put mirrors under his car to show off his clean and tidy underside and think, "why did I bother??"" But you are right Gaz, its nice to have a clean and shine ride, for whatever reason. I got sunburn on the face as well. Poor Bethany, her legs are red raw. Connor just goes brown. Anyway, thanks again to all.
