Maybe a silly question, just done 1,000kms in my new FG XR6T and was planning on changing the oil as I believe 3,000kms is too long. Does anyone know whether changing it early is a concern as I'm not sure whether they put in special oil prior to the 1st service? I'm a bit padantic and common sense tells me their will be alot of metail in the oil and would be good to get it out.

Done just under 400km's in mine mostly city stop and start and running @ 14.4. Would be interesting to hear whether people are using 98 or 95 as this will effect usage as well.

Just had a look and there isn't cutouts but the steel parcel shelf looks like the BA one as there are recesses just where the old ones were located.

I just picked up my FG T yesterday and I have to say the bass on low volume was much better on the BA but overall the FG has a cleaner sound. Overall I'd say the BA was better.

Yes I was including the sub as well. Ford have really excelled this time

Very funny guys I admit I'm a bit of a audiophile Just to close on this one it does seem like they have gone backwards on this one, particlary when you compare the Ford system to lets say the Japanese manufacturers.

Did you already blow some as I read that you had an issue with the sound?? Just rang Ford and they were unable to answer my question. Be interested to see what they come back with. Ford's reply was the front speakers on the doors are dual cone

I will be kicking up a stink when I get mine as this is what they quote in the specs; Premium audio system with 7" colour display, AM/FM radio, 6-disc in-dash CD and 8 speakers plus 150 watt amplifier and sub-woofer (total 262 watts)

Exactly what I found and I even asked the Sales rep and he couldn't answer me either. Tab is probably right splits in the front, yes that a bit lame!!!!!

Not sure if anyone knows the answer to this one but the Premium Sound options lists 9 speakers. I can accounts for 7, 2 in the front pillar, 1 in each door and the sub woofer in the back. Where are the other 2?

I'm getting conflicting advise as to the status of my car, early this week it was sposed to be at final then today I'm told it's at metal finish. So I rang 13 FORD and they wouldn't supply me a date and just transferred me back to the dealer????? Any chance someone could have a look; SIDO 336489. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Guys I know I'm a newbie to the site but my source is reliable, senior person at a tier one supplier which I've known for many years. I'll let it go now and just wait till the beast arrives

I've had my FG on order for a while and the continual delays have been driving me crazy. We are a tier 2 supplier to Ford and after a lot of ringing around have managed to get some truth. Currently they have a swag of cars finished sitting at status final but were holding them back. This was due to a problem with a turbo return hose. Apparently this has been rectified and have just started to release cars.
