  1. Here is some left wing bias for you. Makes interesting reading though. This individual seeks an executive position. He will be available next January, and is willing to relocate. 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue Washington, DC 20520 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Law Enforcement: I was arrested in Kennebunkport, Maine, in 1976 for driving under the influence of alcohol. I pled guilty, paid a fine, and had my driver's license suspended for 30 days. My Texas driving record has been "lost" and is not available. Military: I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL. I refused to take a drug test or answer any questions about my drug use. By joining the Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in Vietnam. College: I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. I was a cheerleader. PAST WORK EXPERIENCE: I ran for U.S. Congress and lost. I began my career in the oil business in Midland, Texas, in 1975. I bought an oil company, but couldn't find any oil in Texas. The company went bankrupt shortly after I sold all my stock. I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using taxpayer money. With the help of my father and our friends in the oil industry (including Enron CEO Ken Lay), I was elected governor of Texas. ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS GOVERNOR OF TEXAS: - I changed Texas pollution laws to favor power and oil companies, making Texas the most polluted state in the Union. During my tenure, Houston replaced Los Angeles as the most smog-ridden city in America. - I cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas treasury to the tune of billions in borrowed money. - I set the record for the most executions by any governor in American history. - With the help of my brother, the governor of Florida, and my father's appointments to the Supreme Court, I became President after losing by over 500,000 votes. ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT: - I am the first President in U.S. history to enter office with a criminal record. - I invaded and occupied two countries at a continuing cost of over one billion dollars per week. - I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted the U.S. Treasury. - I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in U.S. history. - I set an economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any 12-month period. - I set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month period. - I set the all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the U.S. stock market. In my first year in office, over 2 million Americans lost their jobs and that trend continues every month. - I'm proud that the members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in U.S. history. My "poorest millionaire," Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her. - I set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips by a U.S. President. - I am the all-time U.S. and world record-holder for receiving the most corporate campaign donations. - My largest lifetime campaign contributor, and one of my best friends, Kenneth Lay, presided over the largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in U.S. History, Enron. - My political party used Enron private jets and corporate attorneys to assure my success with the U.S. Supreme Court during my election decision. - I have protected my friends at Enron and Halliburton against investigation or prosecution. More time and money was spent investigating the Monica Lewinsky affair than has been spent investigating one of the biggest corporate rip-offs in history. I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed. - I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history. - I changed the U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts. - I appointed more convicted criminals to administration than any President in U.S. history. - I created the Ministry of Homeland Security, the largest bureaucracy in the history of the United States government. - I've broken more international treaties than any President in U.S. history. - I am the first President in U.S. history to have the United Nations remove the U.S. from the Human Rights Commission. - I withdrew the U.S. from the World Court of Law. - I refused to allow inspector's access to U.S. "prisoners of war" detainees and thereby have refused to abide by the Geneva Convention. - I am the first President in history to refuse United Nations election inspectors (during the 2002 U.S. election). - I set the record for fewest numbers of press conferences of any President since the advent of television. - I set the all-time record for most days on vacation in any one-year period. After taking off the entire month of August, I presided over the worst security failure in U.S. history. - I garnered the most sympathy ever for the U.S. after the World Trade Center attacks and less than a year later made the U.S. the most hated country in the world, the largest failure of diplomacy in world history. - I have set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously protest me in public venues (15 million people), shattering the record for protests against any person in the history of mankind. - I am the first President in U.S. history to order an unprovoked, pre-emptive attack and the military occupation of a sovereign nation. I did so against the will of the United Nations, the majority of U.S. citizens, and the world community. - I have cut health care benefits for war veterans and support a cut in duty benefits for active duty troops and their families in wartime. - In my State of the Union Address, I lied about our reasons for attacking Iraq and then blamed the lies on our British friends. - I am the first President in history to have a majority of Europeans (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and security. - I am supporting development of a nuclear "Tactical Bunker Buster," a WMD. - I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring Osama Bin Laden to justice. RECORDS AND REFERENCES: -All records of my tenure as governor of Texas are now in my father's library, sealed and unavailable for public view. - All records of SEC investigations into my insider trading and my bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view. - All records or minutes from meetings that I, or my Vice-President, attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review.
  2. The Expensive Daewoo boys are really starting to push the new model. I am being taken out to lunch by a dealer next week to try and win me to the dark side. They will probably be offering a contract with a set buy back price. It may be tempting for a few cars as I seem to have to haggle for every Ford I sell. They will have to come up with something good to get me to give up my Turbo. (No I don't think that will happen)
  3. It's me or the Car!
  4. Idiot Awards for 2003 Number One Idiot of 2003 I am a medical student currently doing a rotation in toxicology at the poison control center. Today, this woman called in very upset because she caught her little daughter eating ants. I quickly reassured her that the ants are not harmful and there would be no need to bring her daughter into the hospital. She calmed down and at the end of the conversation happened to mention that she gave her daughter some ant poison to eat in order to kill the ants. I told her that she better bring her daughter into the emergency room right away. Here's your sign, lady. Wear it with pride. Number Two Idiot of 2003 Early this year, some Boeing employees on the airfield decided to steal a life raft from one of the 747s. They were successful in getting it out of the plane and home. Shortly after they took it for a float on the river, they noticed a Coast Guard helicopter coming towards them. It turned out that the chopper was homing in on the emergency locator beacon that activated when the raft was inflated. They are no longer employed at Boeing. Here's your sign, guys. Don't get it wet; the paint might run. Number Three Idiot of 2003 A true story out of San Francisco: A man, wanting to rob a downtown Bank of America, walked into the branch and wrote "this iz a stikkup. Put all your muny in this bag." While standing in line, waiting to give his note to the teller, he began to worry that someone had seen him write the note and might call the police before he reached the teller's window. So he left the Bank of America and crossed the street to Wells Fargo. After waiting a few minutes in line, he handed his note to the Wells Fargo teller. She read it and, surmising from his spelling errors that he wasn't the brightest light in the harbor, told him that she could not accept his stickup note because it was written on a Bank of America deposit slip and that he would either have to fill out a Wells Fargo deposit slip or go back to Bank of America. Looking somewhat defeated, the man said, "OK" and left. He was arrested a few minutes later, as he was waiting in line back at Bank of America. Don't bother with this guy's sign. He probably couldn't read it anyway. Number Five Idiot of 2003 A guy walked into a little corner store with a shotgun and demanded all of the cash from the cash drawer. After the cashier put the cash in a bag, the robber saw a bottle of Scotch that he wanted behind the counter on the shelf. He told the cashier to put it in the bag as well, but the cashier refused and said, because I don't believe you are over 21. " The robber said he was, but the clerk still refused to give it to him because he didn't believe him. At this point, the robber took his driver's license out of his wallet and gave it to the clerk. The clerk looked it over and agreed that the man was in fact over 21 and he put the Scotch in the bag. The robber then ran from the store with his loot. The cashier promptly called the police and gave the name and address of the robber that he got off the license. They arrested the robber two hours later. This guy definitely needs a sign! Idiot Number Six of 2003 A pair of Michigan robbers entered a record shop nervously waving revolvers. The first one shouted, "Nobody move!" When his partner moved, the startled first bandit shot him. This guy doesn't need a sign, he probably figured it out himself. Idiot Number Seven of 2003 Seems this guy wanted some beer pretty badly He decided that he'd just throw a cinder block through a liquor store window, grab some booze, and run. So he lifted the cinder block and heaved it over his head at the window. The cinder block bounced back and hit the would be thief on the head, knocking him unconscious. It seems the liquor store window was made of plexiglass. The whole event was caught on videotape. Oh, that smarts. Give him his sign. Idiot Number Eight of 2003 Ann Arbor: The Ann Arbor News crime column reported that a man walked into a Burger King in Ypsilanti, Michigan at 12:50 A. M., flashed a gun and demanded cash. The clerk turned him down because he said he couldn't open the cash register without a food order When the man ordered onion rings, the clerk said they weren't available for breakfast. The man, frustrated, walked away. Please note that all of the above people are allowed to vote
  5. Yep, I drove an AU II XR6HP for about 18months before the BA's were released. Couldn't fault it. It never had to go back to the dealers for any probs.
  6. That looks awesome. I don't think I would be game enough to strap something so explosive on my back though. Ah America "We have the right to bear arms & the right to arm bears.."
  7. Series II, Model update, whatever it may be, it is a pain in the arse. If it is due in less than a month August or even September why can't Ford just come out and say yes it will happen on this date. I know the answer to this already being the negative effect on current sales and values. Not that they have helped values with heavy discounting, SR & Classic packs anyway. Here is my situation. I have a new Turbo due in about the second week of Aug (July build). Am I getting one of the last series 1's or by waiting a whole 2 weeks or so would I get one the first Series II's. Not to mention I am also trying to change over about 3 XT's & one XR6 N/A. For me it is a hassle that come Dec/Jan should sort itself out with a small financial speed hump for my company. But if I was buying a vehicle for my own private self I sure would be p*ssed buying a car that was updated a couple of weeks after I got it. Not to mention the pricing for runouts of the previous model. I feel a bit better now Will feel better still when rumour becomes fact.

    GOT MY CAR TODAY!

Very nice, I'm sure you will love it. Black looks great for the first day or so.

    NRL

Just get rid of the salary cap and may the richest team win. Of course the Warratahs haven't won anything yet  Every year without fail both AFL and League have some form of scandal. The teams busted aren't cheating well enough. In my opinion every team is doing various backroom deals to bypass it. It don't work get rid of it. My little rant. Might pack up and go home now.

    She's a Here!

Bigger screen with more colour & about half a dozen speakers.
  12. If anyone see's Vibe on a vehicle I would be interested in seeing some pics. So far I have only seen the colour palate at the dealers. Edit I think some new colours are to be in September, seriesII?
  13. We had an excellent time. It was great to meet a few of you at last. Looking forward to Batemans Bay. (Will try to get there.) The weather was cold, actually drove through a bit of snow out towards Blayney. A special thanks goes out to the nice policeman who got me near Yass for 117 in a 100 zone. Had a bit of a chat with him and drove off with a warning. :o All the cars sounded and looked brilliant travelling across the mountain. The temptation to do some hot laps was too much..... :o
  14. Hi Ho it's off to freeze we go.
  15. :rain: I spent today in Yass for work. It was raining iceblocks and bloody freezing. I am now in the ACT. The weather predicts 80% chance of snow tonight & 100% chance tomorrow above 800m for this part of the world . Ah well it will be freezing in Bathurst tomorrow, but I have still managed to get rid of my kids for the weekend so I'm going. MISSXR I'm going to Bathurst straight from Canberra so will meet all of you in Bathurst. I will PM you my mobile number so if you could be so kind and give me a ring when you get a chance to let me know what we will do for lunch, last minute changes etc. It will be greatly appreciated. Cheers Looking forward to the snowball fight Craig

    I love my car

I have had a few different T's and have only had a few issues. Each issue has been sorted by the dealer as it has arisen. I love my T and still over a year and a half later love to take it for a spin on quiest country roads. Love it.
  18. Yer it did. I think the gearbox(auto) takes a little bit to realise your not trying to hammer it anymore.
  19. I was in a Macca's yesterday for work. No I don't work for them. They are explaining to their staff that the bloke before his experiment was a fitness instructor. Once the experiment started he stopped work for the month. He also approached the management in the states to ask for money or he would release his movie. Macca's told him to go for it and the rest is history. I have not seen the movie yet, but would like to. I am not defending Macca's this is just what I heard.
  20. Went for a nice cruise down one of my favourite roads. Got to blow a few cobwebs out of the T. Third gear at full tilt can still be wonderfully scary.
  21. I think you will find that he is sticking to what has been policy all along. That without a UN mandate we should not be there. I am of 2 minds on this. Arrgh the voices. Saddam needed to be removed as he was a murdering dictator ruling by fear. So the US did good. The aftermath is however a different story they need the UN to assist in putting it back together. It is similar to the rest of the region in that you have competing tribes trying to maintain ascendency in countries that for the most part are there because of lines drawn on a map by imperialists. Lets look at another murdering dictactor in North Korea. Why haven't they removed him. 3rd or 4th largest standing army in the world. High possibility of actually having WMD. Backed by China with the largest standing army in the world and WMD. The Chinese don't really care about Korea other than the fact it suits to have a little buffer between them and the US. So if the US did try anything the Chinese would involve themselves out of principle. Now I'm all for conquering the world when the opportunity arises, but being an ally/lacky of the US is seemingly getting us diddly squat. Back in WW2 we were left to fight in backwaters whilst the US moved towards Japan and glory. I know the comparison to Vietnam has been over done and should only be loosely applied, but I fear that if things continue as they are the US and those allied will end up with a bloody nose. Lets call it what it is at the moment, a country occupied by a foreign power that has no timeframe as to when to withdraw. Anyway Comrade Garrett... the voting thing is most likely a media beat up. He has always been politically active and will continue to be so no matter what party he is a part of. I watched part of his interview on the 7.30 report and he did come across an intelligent articulate politition. Dependent on the attempts to discredit him (and his activism has made for alot of ammo to do this.) he will be an asset to the labour party. Albeit from the backbench.
  22. I'm off to bed. Bloody antibiotics, can't even have a drink .....Just a few more days
  23. Garrett will fit in well Latham didn't do anything before becoming leader........It seems that when you go into politics these days you are reborn and the spin doc's make out the past didn't happen. The party faithful did get ripped for a personality but give it a bit of time and that wont matter either. Unless there is a huge backlash and he doesn't win the seat (that aint gonna happen) he will just settle into anonimity on the back bench until his personality is needed by the party in the media. Who knows maybe he wants to change the establishment from within. A dick with ears as PM, why not. All of a sudden everyone is supposed to respect a dead president who was senile and a B grade actor. I digress.
  24. that's a classic
  25. Ok my sorting out is just about there. I will be dropping my kids off in Canberra at their Gran's house, and travelling to Bathurst from Canberra. So it will be just me and the Mrs with NO rugrats.
