This is news to me!!! But you can do a search on my thoughts of the edit and talk to the guys that have been here with the edit and ask them what I think... If you go way back our thoughts were reserved on the idea because we do promote a piggyback ecu and we also are legally bound to sell that product only and if you didnt speak to me you would of got that response.... This is why I am finding out the response to who would want the edit, its so I can go out on my own to supply and tune the edit separate to the company.... The edit is great for most upgrades but there are some piggybacks which allow more applications such as launch control, extra injector drivers, nitrous control, IC water sprayer and others... jeff Disappointing to hear that you could have had negative feedback from FIST as I have never found that to be the case. I think I was the frst person to take an edited car to FIST to have it dynoed. Jeff did not make any comment on the edit (to me or on this forum) before the run, as he wanted to see the product first. Since seeing the car run, Jeff has been pretty positive in his comments on the product.

I just replaced my 18's with Toyo TPG's. So far I have found them to be superior to the OEM tyre in grip wet or dry, as well as being substantially quieter. They've only been on for a few hundred Km's, so I can't comment on the wear rate as yet.

It seems that the off the shelf edits will give as much fluctuation in outputs as the standard cars have. I've had the (off the shelf) edit since early January. 265RWKW on a dyno logic, 255RWKW on a Dynodynamics the next day. Apart from the TC issue everything has been great. Goes like a cut snake, especially now with the cooling temps. Custom tune will be done with injectors and IC, but until then the car is fine. I've seen a lot of 230+RWKW custom tunes at 9PSI here. Did I just luck out on valve springs??

Brisbane EDIT owners. I've checked with Power Torque Engines and they have the TC fix updated tunes available. Just give them a call to arrange a flash!!

I don't think there's anything sinister in this. The edit is a new product for the BA and will have some (although very few) unforeseen issues in the early stages. It's software, so a change can be made to the code to rectify teething issues. I'm sure it's being worked on and, once done, available to all.

I've uploaded stock and tune maps quite a few times since getting the edit in early January. I've never turned the A/C off or had an issue.

Nice work Ch0pper! I heard of this happening before as well. I was told that it's due to the style (and location?) of the fuel pick up in the tank. Looks like next week we will be reading about your mid 12's run .....

I learned to drive as a kid in Scandinavia, in winter, on ice. I think I have the slippery conditions side of car control fairly much sorted. That is not the point of this thread though, is it? Just looking forward to the software change which will resolve the issue.

After a couple rainy days in Brisbane, I can tell you that it's very difficult to take the car for even a short drive without having the TC system switch itself off. Having said that, my tyres are not great either so that is also a factor. It will be good to get a fix for this though.....

I received mine back like this after the edit. I only foubd it the next day when I went to F.I.S.T. for the independent dyno run. Told Jeff (the legend that he is) about it and he had it fixed in 5 minutes flat. Jeff, could you let the guys know how to fix this.

Fair point with the WA weather, and humidity. IMHO, Qld cars should get the injectors and IC at the same time. I've had the edit since late December, and it's only now that I'm starting to get some sort of consistency in power delivery. The standard IC simply cannot handle the addition air in the warmer ambient temps.

Is it that hard to get a map with a litlle less timing and boost?

Can PTQ clear the "F" slot on your flasher?

Man! That must have been an interesting drive in the wet..... Mine are not quite as bad (18's), but have the same wear pattern. It seems that these cars like to chew out the inside half first.
