Theres a Silver Mark I XR6 Turbo running around Springwood with Gas Stickers on the plates, so I guess it can be done. Car has the 18 inch rims, I looked twice when I seen the Gas sticker and ive seen it a few times now, personally if I was going to run a car on gas it would be a sh*tter XT, nice cars and smelly gas dont go to well together.

Dont forget ford has the special Magnet pack offer on at the moment where you get momo steering wheel, 18 inch alloys and sports leather for an extra grand I think, pretty good value considering its worth over $3,000.

$40,000 is cheap for a XR6 T ute providing its an 06 plate, as Shocks price is a Discounted price due to his employer. If you can get fleet pricing then that will reduce your price by about 4 grand.

Issue was found today, booked in next monday to have the part fixed, it was a pulley but im not sure which one, they diagnosed it neways which is good.

More traction obviously, if both wheels spin at the same time then its more likely thatthey will stop spinning sooner and gain traction quicker..

Agree with the LSD comment, mine doesnt have it and it showed today taking off up the hill, left hand side was smoking! Great purchase, even at that price you got low kays, and since its a mark II you probarly wouldnt get an NA much cheaper, seem they have better resale then the Turbos these days. Good luck with it!

Thanks Envy, its like a ticking sound without the bonnet opened and seems that it happens on one full rotation of one of the pulleys. Its just annoying, makes the car sound like an EB with 300,000 kays on it.

Ive got a rattle coming from the front of my motor, particular the front belt area. Ive had this problem before and the dealer replaced one of the belt pulleys, but I noticed its still there. Only seems to do it when its hot, Any ideas?

Yes id be concerned if one has done it that the other 3 will to as they would obviously be out of the same batch / production run. Those rims are a tad over $600 to buy yourself and I personally wouldnt cop that, 2 months out of warranty they should be replace as its a safety concern. Id be telling the dealer / Ford that if they dont replace it you will put the wheel back on and they can suffer the consequence if you have an accident and that your lawyer has been informed, even though you obviously wouldnt do this it could be the way to get them to replace it.

f*ck THAT! Id be telling them to replace the entire 4 of the bastards! I know people have got them replaced coz the clear coats coming off, theres no excuse for them not to replace this and the other 3.

Who cares, im so glad we dont drive holdens, what they get a whole 5 colours for the SV6 and SS, then get 1 hero colour change every lifecycle. Stuffs me how they continue to sell those cars.. Favourites for me are. Blueprint Phantom Envy Shockwave Venom

Shockwave was the best colour when I got it, but since I have one of the oldest Shockwaves allive - AUG 04 its getting a little tired now. What colour next, who knows! Fantasy is hot, but im sure will make the car look dated and unoriginal down the track...

Those Stickers on the GT arent actually stickers, they are the Bra cover bits to protect the paint on the mirrors if you must know, and can be removed at any point. I like Menace in the FPVs with the white stripes, it looks sh*t in some lights but in the dark lighting it looks sh*thot with the white stripes, I know Two members of the QLD XR club who have Menace, the one pictured above and another BF GT, both with stripes - sh*thot! As for it in a standard XR, I dont think so

sh*t... I had a viabration coming through my steering at 100 - 110, it annoyed the sh*t out of me so I know what its like, took my dealer / tyre shop 4 , YES 4 attempts to fix this, it was a balancing issue. The only other issue ive heard are the following. A) Tyres can get a flat spot if your parked for a long period of time, this causes a viabration through the wheel till they heat up. B) The tailshaft is missing a weight, which needs to be rebalanced, but if this was the case stuffing around with wheel balancing wouldnt fix it, so it seems like its a wheel balance issue. C) Maybe you should get them to check all wheels again to see if they are bent, usually if you have one wheel that's bent the other wheel on the same side will be bent to as its probarly hit the same pothole/whatever caused the other bend.. If its none of these then perhaps theres an issue with the diff / rear suspension that needs to be rectified.

Both mine are fine, had a Balance problem on the sedan but the dealer fixed that last service, as for the ute it was off centre but had a four wheel allign and balance at Bob Jane and all is sweet, sadly the 16 inch tyres are just about foockeered.

Wonder if they have finally got around to doing something with the V6 to put it somewhere near the Turbo?? If they havent then they are going to seriously struggle when the next round of Fords come out. The only Expensive Daewoo id buy would be an SV8, plenty of Bang for buck there with the SV8 and the new 6.0L.

No, then my car would probarly spend another day a month at the dealer... 4 days its been at the dealer and still not back, not having withdrawals either, cant wait to say goodbye to it ASAP piece of sh*t.

Spoton Zap, You read and hear all this crap in the papers about how many families are going to be affected by the increase of fuel prices but at the end of the day any family that budgets their money won't be in the gutter overnight, people just have to balance their cash resources, if it means giving up something else then so sad, we all give up things we love to waste money on in life to survive. People have to understand the cost of living is goiing to go up, sometimes I think we are too spoilt in the resources we have these days, and some people think they can abuse the f*ck out of the system and not work towards gaining these rights. Im not too concerned about fuel prices, as I said earlier if they get that expensive that its going to cost over 120 bucks to fill a falcon then ill go buy LPG and hope the same doesnt happen to it overnight.
