Yeah, agreed. They don't even give you an option on most high-end model cars to have cloth now. It's leather or nothing. Can't see the attraction apart from cleaning spills and not absorbing smells too much. No fun sticking to it or burning your legs in summer or freezing on it in winter. Luckily you can still get fabric on the F6. The new BMW F10 M Sport or M5 I think has a nice suede seat package, much nicer IMHO.

Not really too cheap. There are heaps of FG XR6 Turbos for sale now from $28,000 to $35,000. Most are ex fleet or ex police cars. Why would anyone pay over 35k for a 2008 or even 2009 model these days.

Plenty have passed through the auctions already selling at around the 25k mark. Have seen a number of them for sale at car yards for 29-33k.

A police officer is never off-duty. The OP's post said she was on-duty and in a marked car on the way to a job. Why would anyone treat someone as a "normal" person in that circumstance, let alone being off-duty?

It's interesting that people who apparently obey every rule in society actually think that the Government care about them. How about the thousands of folks who have been fined incorrectly? There have been some pretty high profile cases where people were doing under the speed limit and a speed camera pinged them at doing double or triple than what they were really doing. I wouldn't trust any of these cameras or police radars to be 100% accurate at all - ever.

I had an 80mm throttle body on my BA NA/6 and it made a small difference in throttle response, but coupled with a decent induction kit and the top part of the manifold bored to the same size as the new throttle body, it's a worthwhile mod.

We had a 3 xr6 turbo taxis at my old work (yellow cabs), back in early 2003. They were test cars from Ford (02 models). They had blanked out fog lights, AU XR wheels and XT side skirts with a modified rear lip for the exhaust. They clocked up about 250,000kms before being sent to the crusher. They were petrol-only and had many issues. Pictures attached for reference.

I've had a quick fang of an AMG and it does not compare to the 335T Coupe. Merc's quality was not up to scratch (they even admitted it) over the last few years, they're only starting to bring out some decent stuff again now. I've driven plenty of euro stuff, including Porsches. Mercs are more of a grandpa's car. Beemers are more of a corporate high flyer's car But they both crap over Falcodorres.

Why would anyone buy a Merc anyway? They're crapheaps. BMWs FTW
