    Lol

lol Out with the old..... In with the new
  5. I seen a stock turbo in excellent condition on ebay the other day for less than $1000
  6. Actually yes, After fitting the xforce exhaust, I now get 12 psi on a .1 duty tune YAY!
  7. Might have to look at locking it shut to see if it builds boost... Don't think its going to be that easy Its always been in my mind that the flapper isn't seating properly... If I was to drop the dump off, will I need to replace the bolts with new ones?
  8. Yes, The hoses on the wastegate solenoid are on the right way..... No, it doesn't over boost
  9. Yes, and no it doesn't overboost
  10. OK, checked a few things today. Bypassed boost solenoid by running the actuator straight off the compressor housing , I also ran a 2nd boost guage from this line so we could see the boost levels being made from the turbo. Manifold pressure was 9.5 - 10 psi, turbo pressure was 10 - 11 psi, meaning about a 1 psi drop over all my pipework and intercooler, basically it rules out any boost leaks in those areas. There are a few possibilities I can think of, Actuator could be 9 - 10 psi not the 12-13psi one that was requested, Actuator could be f*#ked, Flapper may not be seating properly, or not enough of pretension on the actuator
  11. Everything does seem to lead to sh*t actuator, the model on the actuator states its a 13 psi, but I guess they couldn have put the sticker on the wrong one, also it may have just been a dodgy one from day dot... And as Max said, the dog has already ate my cat.
  12. yeah, that's on the list of things to go over tomorrow... But I doubt its the cause... I should be able to hear it if it was a boost leak.
  13. yeah, I think I have ruled exhaust out, but your right possibly dump pipe, but the turbo has been taken off and put back on so bolts shouldn't be loose. I bloody hope its not valve springs, they are brand new crow springs.
  14. Utes done 80,000 km, but majority of its life its flap was jammed open, Headsex soon fixed that. From what I am told turbo is in really good condition. Yes, when he was tuning it, 12 psi was the highest it would get to using very high duty, he said they way its acting is like a 9 psi actuator. I took exhaust off this morning after the cat (bloody loud) and flashed a .1 duty tune in, it only just gets to 10 psi then back down to 9 psi where it holds. After lunch I'll change the reference line off the actuator to run without the boost solenoid.
  15. Its been datalogged... giving the same info a dyno would, putting it on a dyno is just gonna tell me the same thing... I'm having issues getting boost..
  16. I wish it was that simple, I replaced the filter the day the tuning was getting done, mind you the filter I took out was as clean as a new one.
