Hi Guys, After 2 weeks of suspense I picked my car up from Pitlane yesterday. Firstly Mick, Bel, Ben, Luke, Thankyou! I know this car gave you some headaches Mick and I know you were happy to see the back of it, but I cannot praise your attention to detail and quality work enough. One piece of advice I can give everyone. Read the forums, gather all of the info you require, formulate a plan of what you ultimately want to achieve, and then work out if you want to do it in stages or one hit. Now this is the important part – When you go and see a tuner LISTEN to what they have to say! These guys do this day in day out and know what is and isn’t achievable and the good ones are happy to tell you when your expectations are unrealistic. Working with your tuner is the best way to get a result you are both happy with. I know early on I was talking big numbers but the reality is the expectation was unrealistic, and when we set a goal of 270-280 we were all on the right track! Now on to the car! You can read through the back story earlier in the thread, but I dropped my car off at Pitlane for JTG Gas Injection, a 5” Outlaw cat, and a Custom Tune. After some up’s and downs and some sleepless night for Mick (and me!) We got the result we were after with a final tune of 269rwkw @ 12psi. Awesome result for less than 60 cents a litre! Since picking it up at around 9am yesterday I have clocked up over 700km’s! I had to go to Bairnsdale and back straight after picking it up and then went out for a look around the HWY last night. The road manners of this car are impeccable, and you would not even know you were running on gas once you finish the startup system purge. I have put gas in 3 times now, and the fuel economy each time is as follows: 1. 13.68L/100km – After I picked it up, gave it a bit of a squirt then cruising at 100/110 for a couple of hours 2. 12.58L/100km – All 100/110 cruising, barely any on boost driving 3. 17.52L/100km – Driving to and from the Princess last night, lots of hard and fast. I will keep a track of economy as I go, obviously as I do more driving I will get some more accurate averages. Once again, thankyou Pitlane, and here are a few crappy pics of the dyno sheet, gas tank, pretty new red LPG plates, fuel gauge, and the injectors, etc in the engine bay.
