  1. We have entered this event held over Saturday and Sunday, 6th to 7th of August. Unfortunately, due to 'Household' issues, one of our Team members has had to pull out. - We are after 'one' more Team member! The Entry Fee is $400.00 and we have booked self contained, Beachfront accommodation in Cowes, from Thursday, 04.08.11 to Monday, 08.08.11. - We are prepared to waive the accomodation costs. (Total cost was only $800.00 for the time booked). * You must be a Card carrying member of a Cams affiliated Car Club, with a minimum Level 2JS Cams Lisence * Your Car must be able to pass Cams scrutineering! There will be a 'minimum' of '50' Cars on the Track at any one time - While this is a Regularity Relay, requiring a 'nominated Lap time, be aware these guys do go for it! We have also asked the 6 Hour organisers to look for a Team member for us. If you want to have the chance to do '6' 15 Minute sessions at one of our fastest Tracks, in a Race enviroment, please pm asap!
  2. Do the Plugs first! Before you go to the expense of changing the Coils.

I don't think the noted time difference was accidental! If you had them on at 2.00am in the morning, there was a fair chance you might have needed them! At 2.00pm, there was no chance you needed them! - Other than, as a Volvo type 'Safety feature' when not having to use your Headlights! You really need to qualify the Law on the use of these lights. - They must have some ligitimate useage if the Cars come stock with them.
  4. Better off doing the fast thing at the Track! - It's legal! Keep us posted if you go ahead with the Project.
  5. Try front to back first!
  6. You did good thanks Adam! I rang them and they do an 'exchange'. Gotta ring 'Faddy' on Monday to organise! Thanks again!
  7. Does anyone know if/where I can pick up another In Dash, Ford, Poverty Pak Radio/CD Player? - For a BA!
  8. If you ditch some weight and tend to the things you have mentioned, you will have a sh*tload of fun and surprise a lot of people! I track my Daily Drive all the time! - It has 'everything' required for reliability and performance at the Track! - But, if I were to ditch a few Hundred Kilo's..... If you can afford it, I would definitely go for it!
  9. Should help with the 60 Spiro!!
  10. Love the Motec Spiro! That will pay for itself in short order....
  11. Track Days do that to you! I have to agree that you can't focus if your constantly worrying about this and that at the Track. I did have my Thermostat changed, but can't remember the details! - It did make a difference! - I'll let you know on Monday, after I check it out. I went through the same process as you are going through now and I ended up throwing a very big PWR Radiator at it as well! - I figured everything has to help! - In my case, it did! I have a mate with a serious V8 Late model camira with cooling issues at the Track! - He sent me a couple of Emails about an alternative Coolant and cooling system only last night. - He is going to use this and I am going to watch it closely! - On Paper, it is a proven performer! Stay tuned!
  12. You would be better off fitting a reasonable size aftermarket Oil Cooler, if your going to keep doing Track Days Not sure about the FG, but it was Oil Temp that put my BA into Limp mode!
  13. It's open to anyone! It's a great Club to join though - Monthly Track Days at Wakefield and Eastern Creek
  14. Get the Mal Wood Short shift while your at it!
  15. G'Day Jim! I believe we have a pretty good substitute for Aero! - I call it weight! The Car doesn't move around at all at higher speeds! It lightens up over the Humps down Conrod and up Mountain straight, but still doesn't move around. I guess good suspension setup 'helps' though!
  16. Sometimes you just can't get around the fact that you are still trying to chuck a 2 tonne Daily drive around like a stripped out Race Car! - Like it or not, there are limits! - Weight, weight, weight.... Nelsonian, I found a terminal speed of 250kmh, at the braking point for Turn 1 at Philip Island, to be the 'absolute' limit for slowing my Car down and still making the Corner! - 240-245 was a lot less stressful! - And I do brake as late as possible. Not sure about the end result of your 230 limit, but you come on to the staright at about 190-200kmh off the left Hander. - Which means you are already carrying a lot of speed 'onto' the Straight! Got a chance to Film it this time! - We are back at the Philip Island 6 Hour August, 6th and 7th, in a few Weeks!
  17. He's got it right though! The real Killer with these Cars at the Track is weight! So long as he gets the Power/Weight ratio right, he will get in and out of the Corners so much faster... And be able to brake 'much' later!
  18. oops! Done that before looking in my Mirrors too long!
  19. oops! Hit the wrong Key! I ditched power to get better 'power down' to! - Less power gave me quicker times! The only other real obstacle with these Cars is 'weight'. - It's still the real Killer. I weighed mine with a full Tank of Gas and me - 1920kg!
  20. Practice is definitely the key to sorting the Car out going faster.
  21. Heat and prolonged runs seem to bring out the noise. But I can't pick it anymore... I just live with it!
  22. Getting fast now Jimmy! Well done! Tyres make a huge difference. That and practice...
