Hey Guys Just wondering how to remove the cup holder from a ba falcon? Mine is broken and I want to replace it but never removed it before cheers

there should already be a switch that switches it between dvd screen and the stock aircon details and such that you would normally always have visible, I cannot see why an extra handbrake switch to earth would be necessary to look legal if the police pulled you over once u flick the switch to go from dvd picture back to stock screen that would be enough

if u want picture on the screen while driving buddy you need to earth it instead of put it to the handbrake. Just wire it up with your stereo earth

I should just stop posting, I keep working things out not long after I post lol For everyone doing this, its the wires heading up towards the orange plug, not the ones coming out of the orange plug

Hey guys how are we? Ive started my stereo install this week and struck a few problems which ive got through but I have a question about something im not willing to touch until im sure. Im running a dvd head deck instead of the normal icc stereo which means running the dvd head unit to the speakers instead of the speakers running to the ICC. Its been a while since ive done this and ive forgotten which way they go. So here it is Behind the passenger side kick panel is the speaker wiring among a lot of other wiring. Now when u wire it to head unit it involves cutting the current speaker wires pos and neg in half. One of the halves comes out of the orange box/plug, the other half runs off with the rest of the wiring in a bundle. Which half do I hook head unit upto? The half coming out of the orange box and the bottom half that is no longer plugged into the orange box? I cant for the life of me remember and rumour has it that if u connect to the wrong one it can run excess power into the icc blowing it up any help from someone who has done this would be great, or if anybody has speakers running through an aftermarket head deck that could pop off kick panel and just have a look or take a happy snap would be greatly appreciated as I have a bunch of new gear sitting here I wanna put in and its pretty much just starring as me lol cheers

Hey guys just wondering if anybody could give me some info about cobalt stereo equipment. Seems to be a big thing at JB Hi Fi at the moment but I havnt heard much about them. Prices are around the same mark as cadence and alpine so if that's any indication it cant be too bad

nah mate u shall be all good. Over time there has been a lot of people saying that disconnecting the icc or replacing icc's means u have to go to ford to get it reset and I can easily say that is bollocks lol u will be all good buddy dont stress its not as a dangerous job as people make it out to be aslong as u dont do anything stupid like dropping it

yeh I found my test light ill give it a crack tomorrow and try and work it out had power earth and acc all hooked up, took head deck into JB today and they connected it to their jvc harness and it powered up so it isnt deck, I replaced the phone fuse which was blown and checked all other fuses including head unit all fine so its in the wiring somewhere

nah I got the right ones buddy ive done 4 stereos in ba's and bf's including twice on my own, this is the first time ive had problems with the plug not working though

nobody guys? I had a blown fuse which I replaced but still no power going to deck. Dont have a volt meter so I cant test wires but the connections are definately good and I had the deck checked out today and it definately working so its in the wiring somewhere. Can someone recommend a decent place to tap into 12v, acc and earth apart from blue plug behind fuse box

yeh I cant find my test light what is that plug actually for? It is possible that there isnt power running through it now? alternatively is there another place to tap into them

hey guys went to hook up my new head deck today and for some reason doesnt seem to be any power going to the unit. Ive got it tapped into the blue plug behind fuse box like I did for my last stereo install and seems to be no power. Im sure the unit is in working order. Can someone tell me an alternative place to tap into power, earth and acc please

hey mate cheers that's one of the pages I was looking for, theres a second page with the speaker colours I believe. Also to clarify for people reading, there are 3 speaker wire sets in passenger kick panel, and one set for one speaker on the drivers side kick panel

hmm are they for wedge globes? would u just run normal wire from that to a pos/neg of interior light or whatever u wanted them run from? oh sorry I see now there for the mini screw globes... hmm could work, now just finding a blue mini screw globe

Hey guys after the wiring diagram/colours for ba speakers. They r behind the passenger kick panel and one speaker on drivers side kick panel but have lost the colours since last time I did it if anybody could help would be greatly appreciated

nah colour premo icc was installed by myself, car was built to stock standard so no wiring or anything. So can you buy wiring with one end as a socket for a wedge globe from any stores?

Hey guys Just saw today that ive actually got the hole where the footwell globe goes but no wiring as many have said before guess its just the luck of the draw. Question is where could I get wiring to fit a wedge globe? I figure if I run some wiring to headlights or accessories or whatever down, the hole is there for a wedge globe, what wire can I use? Can u get wiring at the local autobahn, supercheap etc with one end for a wedge globe? Not sure if that made sense but thanks for any help lol cheers

dunno if au's r different but I was under the impression when u press the lock twice the horn beeps telling u the imobilisor is activated? I press lock button once it beeps for alarm, press it twice horns gives a shout which I was told was telling me the imobilisor was activated

Hey Guys Just curious, I know quite a few ppl in the past and probably still now, have wanted to try and make their own fibreglass sub boxes, but havnt known how. Does anybody know how to make these from scratch that could share with us? I know u can buy a fibreglass paste or something from somewhere but how do you usually design the mould etc Can someone share their wisdom cause lets face it, the old mdf sub boxes can only look so good lol

you dont need a loom. You need the ford aux kit, have a read of this sticky a little closer buddy, u need the ford aux kit, and u run a lead from that to the rca's in the back if memory serves
