so it appears an edit is not just a power upgrade!!

I'm getting 330-340ish normal use (with pretty frequent squirts), and 380-390 behaving with no edit

I get 200kms (19lt per 100kms) in the city from 35 to 40 lt of premium, with a squirt every day. On the Highway the best I have got out of a tank was 670kms. I have 2 fuel pumps, surge tank and 354rwkws so when you work it out that's pretty economical.

Short shift it everywhere; shift around 2000-2500rpm max and get it in to top gear asap.

Cracking the throttle open a little more with less rpm is better than less throttle with more rpm.

Pumping losses.

I've always had good results with the above in both turbo and non turbo cars.

If its an auto; fuel economy is always out the window compared to a manual.

I bought an 03 XR6 Turbo about three months ago, awsome car but I'm having serious concerns about it's fuel consumption. I believe it's very thirsty and at times when I fire her up it's got 20 or so kms less on the range and it hasn't even moved! Does anyone else suffer this problem and what sort of km's are you getting to a full take? can I do anything to fix this?, any feedback would be great thanks.

Couple of suggestions....

a) teaspoon of cement

b) trade it in and get yourself a barina

Fuel consumption is directly in proportion to the distance between the accelerator and the floor. The bigger the gap, the less fuel you use. :roflmbo:
