SOme friends of mine that drive vehicles from the darkside can only get insurance for their vehicles through HSV. The vehicles in question are stock VU SS and VU Maloo, both drivers are >40 with good driving records. Do GT or Pursuit owners have these problems? NRMA won't touch them even though they've had previous similar vehicles through them before and no claims.

I've noticed in magazine articles comparing XR8 to SS or Clubsport, & another article GT to Clubsport , that the Ford's are around $1000 cheaper to insure for the same driver.

.......That starts to add up if you keep the car for a few years! :bringiton:

l pay $750 to insure our GT through RACV/NRMA.

Perhaps the problems Expensive Daewoo owners are having are related to the amount of dickheads you see driving them.

If you have a partner 25 or over its better to get her to ring around for insurance as females over 25 are considered a lower risk (don't get me wrong I didn't say considered better drivers!).

AAMI & NRMA gave the missus about $240 difference between her quote and mine.

Do you have friends?

Surely not.

All the STI's and the like that come in are usually insured with Shannons.

I know you HgAg people are a bit slow :sleepgrey: (some more than others....) but where in my original post does it say I want to know about insuring STIs?:beerchug:

If I wanted to know about them I'd go to riceburners.com and ask, not fordxr6turbo.com.

Thanks to the relevant and on-topic answers from the other forum members. :birthdaywish:

:birthdaywish: So why have you come to Fordxr6turbo.com enquiring about insurance for Holdens then? :beerchug:

Shouldnt you go to ls1.com and ask them?

You seem to have missed the point or topic of this question, yet again Mick so I'll try and make it a bit easier for you. I was asking if FPV owners have trouble getting insurance for their vehicles and was using an example of some friends that have similar vehicles (HSV) that are having trouble. If you are still having trouble understanding this big fella let me know and I'll break it down into words of two syllables or less for ya!

The guy with the Maloo pays $2000 a year! :birthdaywish:
