recode... why? just get the cluster that the engine came from? or just use the cluster you've already got?

OK. Take the gas system back to whoever installed it. If this is the person who installed it, ask him to justify why it's the factory cluster is causing the problem and you take that justification to ford and get them to see if they can fix it based on his classification of the problem.

Sorry about the tag back before then as it’s an FJ dedicated gas for you Lol ..  I’ve taken it before now everyone else then will come up the same solution it’s the cluster that’s got the problem ..  they won $800 to fix it where I can buy a second class to 50 bucks and hopefully work out how to do the coding

Sorry fg  dedicated gas Ute 2008

Sorry bloody spellcheck ..  I’ve had it in the ford  and they’ve come up with  problem so it’s deathly the Dush cluster

so Ford have already told you it's a cluster problem?

what's the actual problem presenting as?

let us know where you're located so we can advise you where to actually take your car as a specialist with falcon's is likely to be more helpful than ford service/repairs themselves.

well, since Mildura is about halfway between all of Adelaide/Sydney/Melbourne, you can go through any of the sections in the SA/Vic/NSW sections of the forum (https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/forum/136-cruise-amp-event-forums/) and go through the "recommended tuner" threads in each, ring around to the places recommended and that are within reach and give them an accurate description of the actual fault and let them sort it out :spoton:

Its not unusual for the senders on the gas tanks to be faulty. Without knowing weather they have been changed yet I would suggest that would be the place to start. We change them quite oftem on BA/BF's so even though they are a different resistance they are from the same supplier (apexus) so I can't see them being more reliable The resistance is printed on them - 1st number is empty & 2nd no is full in ohms, big no. on big tank, small no. on small tank

Ok I’ll get them look at bye the gas specialist here ...  so your saying it might not be the duch cluster mate ...  it keeps coming up with fuel fault and also the fuel gauge works sometimes and then it doesn’t and also it keeps saying that it’s not in Park when you open the door but it actually is in park ?  When the fuel gauge plays up really bad  I pulled the fuse out of the duch cluster fuse under the dash a couple of times  and it starts working again ?  The fuel fault keeps coming up on the dash apparently from the previous owner has been doing it the whole time he had as well ?
