Issues with 08 BF XR6T

Hi all need some advice.

 

I bought a Feb 08 BF XR6T a couple of weeks back. Nice car seems well looked after has partial service history and seems to be well maintained and unmolested.

 

In the last week it has developed a problem where it runs like a dream cruises along the freeway nicely then you press the gas to overtake or go up a hill and it suddenly looses power almost like there is no fuel or it floods?  

 

I have had the mechanic look over it and he could not find an issue except the fuel filter was a little dirty so he replaced it, it has now started doing it again.

 

Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? I love the car and would appreciate any help I  can get.

I'd be looking at the coils, spark plugs and egt sensor first.

Thanks k31th it is supposed to have new plugs and coils per the previous owner but I am not sure and I never gave the EGT sensor a thought. If I replace the lot then it elimiinates them. Cheers

make sure there genuine coils & stick a boost guage on it to make sure its not overboosting. Regap the plugs to 0.8 & see if that helps, if it does you know its spark related
