YES..We are BACK!

Woah that was a tough one. I suppose we better fill you in on what happened in the last 48hrs.

On Wednesday Night we received notification from our previous host that the site was causing issues on the machine due to the size of it and had to be removed. They wanted to decommission the server and upgrade it.

The turnaround time for this was 48hrs. This immediately set off panic alarms as we had to transfer over 8GB of data to our new box, which has been in preperation for a while including setting up a backup strategy. We asked for full access to the server but due to it having two other sites on it could not give us this in order to transfer the site over.

We attempted to transfer the site over by ftp and wget (linux) but the most it would transfer over was 2000 files, no email addresses and not all the databases needed to keep the site running, not only that it causes the previous server we were on to crash. This made the old host extremely angry and suspended the site from further operation.

Unfortunately after like 20 tickets logged for support to a previous host, nothing was done, even with urgent attention required.

After a major panic attack by myself, due to the server being cut off in 48hrs and now suspended, I asked our Support guy Nasir to assist in transferring the site over, and ensuring nothign was missing, including all the donating members email addresses and most importantly the posts.

After nearly 12hrs of Nasir working at the server transferring things over, and making sure everything is working, we are now back up again! Special Thanks to Nasir for all his help..

If you do have any issues with anything, please post them in this thread. We will make sure we get onto them as soon as possible.
