4" xforce Noise.

Hi People.

 

Will be fitting a stainless 4" Xforce turbo back exhaust to my G6E shortly. How is the cabin noise, is there any drone?

I have the ute version and get no drone on freeway or when cruising. 

 

if I use sport mode though it sits slightly higher in the revs and you can hear it more. 

 

slam it in D and the revs are nice and low wont even know its there haha

Thanks Ford Freak, I don't want it to be obnoxiously loud in the cabin and drown out the Dire Strait CD.

well the 4 inch is kinda loud esp cold starts. 

 

if you havent already bought it find someone who has first go for a listen to see if its for you. 

 

you dont want to pay twice. have you got other mods on the go to need the 4 inch?

Good advice. Fitting an F6 turbo with a ported housing, I got for a good price, actuator, valve springs and pump. Thought I'd do the exhaust as well to save the cost of a retune later. Already has injectors, herrod intake, venom cat and PWR stepped cooler.

ah yer nice

 

well give it a go if your still keen. otherwise later on you could swap one muffler for a varex is it bothers you. im used to it so hard to say.

 

someone else with a 4" may give their opinion hopefully. 

 

mine hangs low and scraps everything which sucks something to think about if yours is lowered too.

I've got shockworks coilovers on mine still set to their recommended height so its not to low. Think I'll go with your advice and try and a have a listen.
