Well I purchased one but it won't fit.

The hole the the rocker cover on my car is about 8.5mm and the fitting is about 9.3ish

I called vpw and they confirmed that the ones in shop are 9.25mm they said they have sold heaps without problems. They were helpful actually.

Has anyone else had this problem. Have I just struck out again with another fricken plug and play part that won't fit my bloody car!!

I assume if I force it it will break the aluminium fitting. I might just have to drill the rocker cover but if I'm doing that I may as well just tap it.

The obvious solution would be to drill out the tube on the rocker cover,but I gather you don't want to take it off?

Yep if I pull the cover off I may as well just weld in proper fittings

12 bolts and some wiring connectors < the same twelve bolts and some wiring connectors/welding prep/welding/paint touch up.

Fit some -10 or -12 breathers do it properly....-8 is too small for these engines anyway.
