I figure floor tie downs would make it really easy to carry small items without then rolling around, and fron points make it really easy for tying my dogs in the back.So I got some tie down rail from Super Cheap, see pic, but hesitated when it came to drilling into my new baby...So my question is this:Where can I get a diagram of the tub liner and how and where it attaches to the substructure? How easy is it to remove the liner and would this be my best option for fitting the rails where I want them, using some metal plate to reinforce. I'd like to avoid drilling holes in any of the metal structure as I am a little paranoid about rust although if I have to I will and just properly treat the holes before assembly. So basically I'm wondering if anyone has any experiences to share with fitting tie down rails to their plastic lined tub? Thanks in advance Presto Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/88368-fg-series-ii-tub-liner/ Share on other sites

(With the tub removed, you'll see that it isn't a complete floor). OR get it up on a hoist to check out.Yes, to treating the holes after drilling. And a reinforcement plate will help if you need to tie down a big load.I can post or Pm some pics, as I have a tub sitting on pallets Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/88368-fg-series-ii-tub-liner/#findComment-1480172 Share on other sites

The metal sheeting is a bit flimsy but with a couple of bolts along the length of those tie downs it should be fine. However, I got a pro to do it. PFA blueprints of the Fg trey. The next photo is the work done to my tub. Thick marine ply was set down and bolted to the cross members, the anchor rails, and tool box screwed into the wood, and then marine carpet. Ps. I know I'm replying to an old post, but this is more for the people who are looking to do something like what has been discussed. Cheers 2 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/88368-fg-series-ii-tub-liner/#findComment-1726105 Share on other sites
