Can someone please tell me if the BA ECU's are waterproof/ dustproof?

I'm doing an engine conversion into a Nissan Patrol and need to know if the ECU will be safe if I mount it in the engine bay.

I know they are in the engine bay on the Falcon, but Falcon's aren't really intended to go offroad.

I'd suggest painting the back of the plugs and join between the plug body and Ecu with this gear

I'll give you a second line of defence against water ingress and peels off easily if need be.

Since you are going to modify the wiring for the conversion you may as well mount the ECU inside the cab for extra peace of mind considering the intended purpose of the vehicle.

I'd like to put it inside, but I don't have that much space inside the dash, and it's likely to get drowned at some point if I put it in the footwell. I was planning on putting it up high under the bonnet, but I'm just a bit worried about it getting splashed or dusty.
