Cams In The 5.0L

Has anyone changed the cams in their supercharged 5 litres?

I've been wondering why none of the upgrades on the 5.0L's Involve cams. Surely if more aggressive cams can be put in you can make the most out of that already powerful motor?

Would like to know more info, is it simply because the engine can just make good power without an upgrade and nobody ever saw the need?

Or is it very difficult to make aftermarket or modified cams for this motor?

I get that they probably don't need them power wise, but it would be nice to get them sounding a bit better. Bit like cams in the 5.4, they dont seem to make much power but f*ck they sound good.

Ecu I believe. Can be done but linking ecu to control the cams is the issue. So im lead to believe. They do a thing called Ghost cams in the US.

If I had a v8 I'd go all Late model camira on it and rip off the supercharger and fit the biggest cam available to it.Lumpy as it would use bulk fuel and not idle or be easy in traffic but it would be sikkkkkkkkkkkkkk driveability is for xr6 turbo owners.be

changing cams takes away some the nice manners and most people seem to want the nice manners, well until the foot is planted
