A 3.5" dump is still good for 11's anyway! Bad luck on the mounts.

Mate the flapper mod is definitely worth doing with your intended mods. Just helps control the boost. Talk to your tuner about it they usually like to do it themselves or source it out to somebody that does the job how they want it.
