Not sure if I'm speaking out of turn, or something happened in the past, but some of the states haven't had a new thread in over a year (or two or more)

Any chance they could be opened up (with moderation if needed - or on a case by case thing: some seem to be going great as they are) to see how they go?

Maybe a set of rules and heavy handed deletion/closing of threads?

Or a "You must be this high" to start a new thread?

No worries

Am headed to Adelaide next month - wanted to see if anyone wanted to show me round the hills on the Saturday or was up for a feed on the Friday.

Could have been a good excuse for a few to get together for a catchup.

Posting anywhere else drowns a question like that out.

I have sent a message to the SA cruise control, but (no offence to him) it's a bit below his pay grade to worry about (and only sent it earlier tonight - he probably wont see it til later).

That is what the section chat threads are for:

We'd like to leave it open but in this day and age of slander defamation social media and court cases it aint gunna happen.

If you want to run something off site that is beyond the rules the forum likes to see followed by all means go for it we cant stop you but the forum cant be seen to allowing a free for all as it can all too quickly turn around and bite you in the ass.
