I just got a milkshake but I not quite shore if my mechtronics unit is gone car still drives just had to turn it around I will be getting a rebuild next year but I have a budget of $6000 if the mechtronics unit is gone I don't know if I got enough for it all I wnt a built gearbox if any one had the same problem any info would be good thanks

I know of 2 guys personally that have had a zf milkshake. Both the mechatronics were shot...

Rrp is around $3000 for the unit iirc

Would it be cheaper going for a c10 of going manual if its $3000 for that and $5000 for rebuild that's f*cked

both under warranty so they had no idea but a ford tech said all up about 7grand but that's ford costings, it was a exchange transmission.

A standard rebuild should only be around 1800. As soon as water touches the mechatronics its all over.
