I fitted my gauge over Easter, took less than an hour. The colour of the panel is not quite right and I am going to call Gauge Works to see if they can better match what I had. The colour code on the panel supplied does not match the original one (there's only about one shade in it so if nothing can be done I won't be too bothered).

Let us know how you go. I also noticed the difference in colour. I thought this problem was fixed before the last group buy?

Contacted Gauge Works today about the colour of the panel.

They say that there's about three different colours have been used by Ford since the intro of the XR6. They are supplying the most common. They have invited me to come to Geelong and they could try to match better with the original but, to be perfectly honest, it's so close I don't know if I'd bother. Maybe if I'm done that way one day. The gauge itself draws mine and anyone else's attention away from the small colour difference in the panel anyway.

Yeah, that's the way I feel about it. I was going to try to get a better colour match at a local paint shop, but I doubt if I'll get around to it. No-one else would ever notice the slight colour variation. Life's too short to be obsessive - at least that's what I keep telling myself!
