Super Pro Diff Bush Problem

Featured Replies

#1

Last night I was accelerating moderately while merging with traffic and when I backed off the throttle - BANG! Luckily I was less than 5km from my destination but unfortunately I am in Vic and 600km from home. Took the car to Ford this morning and found the super pro bush has come out. Has been in for about 12,000km.

Has anyone seen or heard of this happening?

Looks like the bush has jumped over the washer and bolt head some how.

Looks like there is lube on yours, don't think there was any on mine...should there be lube??

I will get photos of the bush when it comes out on Monday.

Need to talk to Fulcrum regarding warranty first thing Monday too. Hopefully there is a new one at a dealer near by...

There have been some cases of the earlier comfort bushes failing. Should not be a problem with warranty.

They have redesigned the comfort bush and now give a lifetime warranty.

Result was that the bush had come away from the tube and over the washer. In short it failed.

Fulcrum replaced it without fuss and the local rep had one delivered to Ford by mid morning Monday.

They replaced it with the performance option.

Getting a small amount of vibration and noise but nothing too bothersome.

Have since gone from Melbourne to Sydney via the country route. It feels rock solid now.
