Paint Off ?

Anyone notice the black paint very quickly wear away from the front LHS (as u look at it from the front) of the engine block after pick up ? Looks like bugs/little rocks etc have come through the bottom in thegap in the bumper and worn the paint away. I have one silver patch with all the rest black

Our engine bay came painted.

Well the rest of the engine is black so the silver patch isnt so good

You're not talking about the intercooler are you?? If so I believe quite a few have had this problem (including me).

Thanks mate. that's exactly it except on the front LHS. Might bring it up at the 15000km service and see how I go

I got the same thing ,not as bad as in the pic though.

Came off when I was cleaning the cooler with a high pressure hose, not really caring anymore. Adds to the million other bits of missing paint I got cause of stone chips.

Seems the paint falls off or rubs off on any part of the car. See series two for improved quality control (hopefully)

When I walked out to the garage this morning, I looked at the T (as I do on a regular basis ) I noticed all the paint on one side of the intercooler has flaked off. (see attatched pic)

Is this the norm? Will dealers fix it?

Made in NZ mate, apparently its happened to a few. Velveet glove had the same issue last week. Time toget out the black VHT paint, or see the warranty man.
