Drilled on the Front with Slotted on Rear2. Drilled all round3. Slotted all roundWhat is better to do / advantages disadvantages ?The other thing is replacing the standard pads with Ferodo, howeverRepco say that they have replacements only for the front and NOT the rears What do I do with the rears, do I leave it as standard Ford ones ?All help to clarify this would be most appreciated.Daniel Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/8433-dba-brakes-pads/ Share on other sites

No good hving diamonds on the front and coloured glass on the rear, go the extra cost and you'll be happy. I am, and Cro is and he can burn out Bendex's in no time. If you want to do some track work, go for the 4000 series.I did a fair bit of reading before changing mine, and in most applications the cross drilling seems to be for aesthetics only. Not worth the extra dollars. For that reason I went for Longlife Slotted.I only replaced the fronts, leaving the rears as standard ford disks.I replaced all the pads (front and rear) and would recommend you do the same. Replacing the rear disks is not as important, and my opinion was that I would put the rear slotteds on after I wore out the standards (cant take that long with Ultimates).I have done 2 track days on my Longlife slotted/Bendix Ultimate setup and it is really good. I am very happy with the way the brakes last, and it stops very well with good pedal feel. Cro has not had the best experience with the Ultimates, but is going well with the 4000 fronts / Ferodo pads. I guess see what is easily available to you. I think being drilled front and rear may get you a ride on a float at the Sydney Mardi gras. I'll be running along now.
