I't certainly bodes well for Car manufacturing in our land that we have 2 of the biggest players all wanting a piece of TURBO action. It will be interesting what GM come up with coz I think FORD has certainly earn't alot more street cred with the "T" given how many more newbies have joined. that's why it will be very interesting too see what the Series 11 Falcon will be like..?

It will be very interesting to watch V8 sales if Expensive Daewoo release a turbo 6. I reckon T6 sales will really eat into V8 sales. I wonder what the ratio is of xr6/xr6t is vs XR8...from what Ive seen on the road the proportion is way in favor of the 6s. I dont see too many VY SSs on the road these days, maybe that will remain that way into the future too... ;)

 Azman

Correct me if I'm wrong(nothing unusual here)but to run a turbo V6 it has to be a twin set up.

Been wondering what Brand Crap will be doing to compete against the popularity of the XR6T

Their S model is as slow as Ken(know this from experience)

You can run a single turbo on a v6, the nissan Vg30det is exactly that setup. No doubt a Turbo would help the 3.8 but then you've still got pushrods ect. It would still be a primative engine unless they do something about the head.

They are refering to the new DOHC HFV6 that will be released with the VZ not the old Buick boat anchor. And the VG30 that was used in the 300ZX was twin turbo although a single turbo can be used on a V6 but would be a complicated setup. With the new six rumoured to be making at least 190 kw I don't think they would have a turbo version as it would be more expensive than the SV8 and would probably show up the SS and I don't think Expensive Daewoo would want to step on the V8's toes like Ford does. The mullet haired cave man bogans who drive these crapheaps would want to lynch Expensive Daewoo if they made a six faster than the SS.

I have heard from a very reliable source that it will have three turbos, the 3rd one drives a little generator to supply independent power to the power amp and 500w 'boom box' that the Expensive Daewoo designers are putting in the boot to drown out the 'funny' whining noise that comes from the engine bay at about 2000 rpm.

They reckon if you turn it up above 50% on the second 'doof' it blows the rear window out! :beerchug:

heard something bout a turbo Expensive Daewoo V6 commo (VZ) based on there new HE or HF whatever named engine. which base power is roughly the same as fords BA power..

. Cause Expensive Daewoo seem to be missing out on their chunk of the hot 6's. and the charger was a flop

What am I talking about peter from APS probably has one tucked away in that big shed next to the TT LS1

this should make for some wicked street oh I mean 1/4 battles

:spit:

Mate I reckon it will be just as big a piece of crap as their supercharged

sh!tboxes, perhaps they missed the boat this time, must be painful for the arrogant pricks in their mongrel management team to finally have to face reality. I have had bad dealings with them in the past and I despise them. Give me another Holden, but give me a can of petrol and a box of matches to go with it :kissmy::hrmm::spit:

your an angry man :beerchug:

Too true - maybe you should see someone about a anger management session, know a good therapist?

:)

:oooh:

Gents if you knew Expensive Daewoo like I got to know Expensive Daewoo you would be angry too : :spit: . Now about that anger management therapist, don't you b!oody fu@ckin B@stards tell me I need fu@king therapy. Ahhhh that's better. :beerchug::thumbsup::hrmm:

Cheers! didn't know about the new dohc 6 Expensive Daewoo is making, all the better to push ford along and improve on the T!

As for the VG30, it came out with a single turbo (DET) and later a twin turb (DETT). The single turbo sat up the top of the motor and the plumbing looked awfull. I've also seen single turbos on V8's, again sitting up on the inlet manifold, looked bad... I for one hope they go to a twin turbo setup.
