I was thinking of oil pump gears while I was on the sh*tter and how they break due to vibration and hitting the limiter why doesn't someone make a Teflon oil pump gears which can absorb a lot more vibration.

Another deep thought from the place where all deep thoughts are made............... and lost.

Billet gears look to be the answer it seems but some other sort of hi shock resistant substance has merit - perhaps kevlar or boron fibre in resin ( and no, I am not taking the p*ss.)

A shock absorbing material probably isn't the best thing to use when you're trying to create pressure.

Fair enough seems like the billet steel atomic gears are the go but the prices are a joke I wish our barra was world wide like the 2j Aussie developers just charge to much.

I guess you don't want to budget sh*t when it comes to oil pressure it was just a thought and a good talking point so I posted
