My front wheels are wearing out really bad on the inside, I mean chunks are being scrapped into the tyres also I can see a scratch mark on my drivers side rim on the inside lip. And when I jumped under to have a look I could see the sway bar has been moving side to side about 10cms.... Went to pedders and fark me! Reckons all is good apart from a wheel bearing and lower ball joint (ball joint is 3 months old) Now could these two things cause my problem or is something else seriously wrong? Really need to hurry up and move back to Sydney where workshops like cms and so on are. If you look closely you can see the wear mark on the away bar from the movement :/ Edited 31/01/13 12:06 PM by Kosij Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/83819-front-end-help/ Share on other sites

Maybe also check you lower front control arm bushes, see if they're split. In regards to the marks on the inside of the wheels, turn your steering to full lock and see if the rims are touching the swaybar Edited 31/01/13 12:39 PM by ScatterBrain Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/83819-front-end-help/#findComment-1356903 Share on other sites

Shows how smart they are.Should I try it on the ground under load or jacked up? My money is on the rim touching the upper control arm due to dud lower ball joint 1 Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/83819-front-end-help/#findComment-1356914 Share on other sites

This causes toe out at higher speed due to the rolling resistance. If the swaybar is moving around I would say that the D-Bushes are cactus. Also, it looks like you need new front discs and or pads... Thinking about putting the xr8 18" rims back on instead of the 20"s cheaper for rubber and softer on the poor car. Was told the front was way out and back camber was shocking, something about toe was adjustable but nearly maximum blah blah blah that explained why the rear tyres always wore out to wire on the inside when I do skids lolWill post videos up toomorrow after the burnout comp Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/83819-front-end-help/#findComment-1357235 Share on other sites
