5% of 100k is a lot of d!ckheads concentrated in one area which can spoil it for the genuine enthusiasts. Wouldn't recommend taking any females with you if you go I wouldn't mind being a copper for a week caning the ricers

 what is summernats? :kissmy:

Summernats is a rather large 3 - 4 day car show held down here in sunny Canberra. We get entrants all over Australia and NZ coming down. There is a show and shine, burnout, go to whoa, cruising, sound off, horsepower hero (dyno comp) etc etc. It is arguably the biggest car show in Australia. Unfortunately in years gone past you could take alcohol in, which resulted in some very drunken behavior as you can imagine. A lot of other bad things have gone on while the Summernats are on, but I dont think there is enough space in this post to say it all! Im sure you get the basic idea.

If you steer away from all the w@nkers, and leave Exhibition park by 5pm, generally you should be OK. It can be a really good event. I have entered for the last 8 or so years, and havent had any trouble. After 5pm, EPIC goes a little "wild" though, so we usually depart before then.

I have entered my XR6, only because I had originally entered my XC, and the motor still isnt quite 100% yet.

If anyone comes down for the event, PM me or call and say gday! :hiwelcome:

and how much it cost to replace the traffic light system that was pulled out of the ground during a riot there in 1992......

Mate 1992, it's time to let it go and move on.

I think it's great that most of the d!ckheads leave sydney for a few days.

That means I can leave my car unlocked at Punchbowl station, windows down and $100 sitting on the dash. :hiwelcome: :kissmy::nod:

The incidents of 1992 Summernats were exasperated because it was held over the New Year period . Unfortunately I had some "aquaintenances" (not friends, just people I know) that were involved in the traffic light incident.

For Glenn and others that haven't been before -http://www.summernats.com.au

Lets just say it made me think that the burnout comp went 24hrs a day

now there's an idea, 24/7 burnout comp, yummy done in conjunction with a 24/7 dyno comp.
