Hey Guys,

I want to run some drag slicks on my G6E I have been told that 17" xr8 rims are a good start.

I have absolutely no idea what type of tire our size to go with.

My car is only currently making 400hp at the wheels but am upgrading the turbo soon.

I would like to drag tires that will still be suitable for running 10 second passes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Nitto NT05r's, MT Et streets or Hoosier ET streets. Just grab some ba/bf xr6 17" rims and your away. Any of the above tyre will cope up to mid 8's.

Might struggle to fit 16"with brakes, 17" rims are readily available and cheap

Surely 400hp driven correctly would hold up alrite on street tyres ? (not cheapo poo obviously)

Maybe im just an idiot.

Nar 400hp is fine with street tires, I do think though with slicks I could get the car up an over the 2k rev mark with the wheels spinning therefore giving me a better launch, also I want some tires that are going to handle when my car is pushed up around 550hp mark.

Does anyone no if these rims would be ok to make a set of drag wheels ??
