That's sort of the way I've been thinking Merc. I would be horrifed to be blown away by a XR6T (even if it was modded) in a GT. I know it's about the whole package, not just the 1/4 mile time.

Come on FALCHOON, just do it, Mercturbo has, you won't regret it, T is wonderful, lighter & more nimble round town, but no comparison out there on the open road. Go on :banghead:

I don't remember any XUI getting into 14s. Maybe I just wasn't interested and took no notice of what they were doing :lol: The HO did 14.3 according to most tests of the time. The E49 Charger was the quickest down the quarter at about 14.1. But the HO would swallow them all once you passed the 1/4 mile and got to the top end. Also the HO was quicker from rolling starts in almost all the speed brackets tested.

Any car that does 240klm in 4th at 4800rpm, is a great car. To get a T to go that hard you have to spend the extra money anyway and then theres the handling and the brakes to get sorted. By the time you have the quick times etc you've spent a poltice, devalued the car, and no matter what anybody says, things BREAK, look at the Auto issues already appearing with stage 1 and 2 kits. Go the GT

So then, if you can get over the V8 (ohh that sound), then may what you really want is the street cred of a FPV - like the FPV-T that I'm hangin' for.... I hope it is at least $5K less than a GT!
