Congrats mate!!! Since I did the deal on mine I have only had to wait 3 days! Dont know how your going to wait that long!!! I pick up my White GT with black stripes/leather and nav tomorrow. Cant WAIT! Ill post some pics up asap. Although the weather here in Melbourne is meant to be horrible so it could be a 45 mins drive home in a storm. WHO CARES :-)

Unfortunately we will not see any action from Ford in regards to advertising the Falcon however,rather we will see more advertising on the Territory,Fiesta,Focus and Kuga.

There is a white Rspec (manual)on display at my local Ford dealership in Geelong(vic).it's actually an ordered one.I believe they were asking $80,800 with leather trim no Sat Nav.

They have two"standard" GTs.One with leather and auto trans for $69,888 driveaway and the other(auto) with no options they are asking $66,888 driveaway.

I could probably get the $66,888 GT for about $58,000+ on the road if I used my father's Ford employee discount.The runout price of the standard GTs is $68,999 driveaway.

The Rspec is a great car and the Wheels Mag achieved a 4.5 sec for the 0-100kmh time and that was in a manual! If you get a copy of Wheels

you will see that the Rspec beats the SRT 300 and the HSV R8 in virtually all of the acceleration and in gear tests.

Congrats on the purchase,I agree with your colour choice.

Congrats on the purchase mate. I think uve made an awesome choice and I'm keen as mustard to get one myself. Test drove the GTP the other day and it was just incredible for a stock car. I hav a worked bf2 turbo and don't really want to trade it but once I drove the GT I was sold by the sound of the v8 and the SC.

The R Spec has some good extras on the GT at a fair price too. Not sure if I can wait till December for one though

Congrat's on the Winter White R Spec - like so many of us recently - whom 've driven the GT - it is so hard to shell out the additional $ for the RSpec without SatNav - however , agree that the limited no' makes it so much more desirable ..

It is interesting to hear your comments and frustration with the dealership .. I can only echo your thoughts and frustrations .. Last week , a dealership called me, and stated that I should come down on Sat as they written up a deal on the GT Mk 11 Winter White - a car I had demo , but now had done in excess of 7,000 k's - and they were now asking $62k ..I stated I was not interested as I had reconfirmed that I was keen a Winter White with SatNav - they replied, that they understood and if , I was to make a appointment for Sat - they move heaven and earth to write up a deal - agreeable to all parties on a Winter White with SatNav ..

Got there at the agreed time - was make to wait 90 mins - the salesman , revisited the Winter White with 7,000 ks for 20mins - before he understood I wasn't interested , and then moved on to what I wanted - and basically , what I got was no different, or better than what I already knew .. $71k with SatNav - Got Nothing for my time and effort .

That is now , another dealership I have crossed off - Gee .. at this rate. I won't be purchasing a car from anyone ???

Interesting thou, the dealership stated that the RSpec had already been allocated to dealership, and it did not come with factory SatNav - and they sold a Black RSpec the week before at $84k - no SatNav -

If you 've managed a RSpec with factory SatNav @ $80k - no have done extremely well !.

The principal' of these dealership's have alot to answer for .. the buck has to stop with them , in what people they offer (knowledge, attire , attitude , gamemanship and empathy for the customer) in their salespeople .. Won't blame Ford !! :sungum:

Just learned from a dealer today - finally a dealer who knows his stuff and can talk to a customer in the appropriate manner - not surprising the dealer is a 'country' dealer - eager to move the FPV stock locally and interstate .

They confirmed that in fact the dealer could elect to have the RSpec equipped with SatNav - but it was something that had to be selected from the get go

Apologies to FPV Tanny and others whom I may have offended by incorrecty stating that the RSpec wasn't not available with SatNav - my fault for listening to sales staff whom know nothing about what they are selling - Another dealer crossed off my list !!!

In wheels mag the r-spec ran a 12.5 well last wed at Willowbank the Elite GT ran a 12.4 with 150kms on the clock so you guys with the launch control and 275 rubber just may get an 11 !!!!
