Hi all you well knowledgeable FPV heads

I know clearly that 6 pot Brembo are going to stop better than 4 potters, but how much better? If two cars are both travelling at 100km and slam anchors what would be the distance between the two cars?

Would be interested in any quantitative tests that have been done between the two sets on these barges.

I can tell you that 6 pot brembos are life savers, I've stopped from 110km to 0 in less than 20m before, maybe even 15m. They are the one thing on the car that make me feel safe. I think if you've got power mods in mind, they are essential.

Wouldn't mind knowing the exact stats myself.

Out of the crate maybe not much. The brake fluid Ford uses is rubbish and leaves no feel at all in the peddal.

Bets Mod for your car for the cash is decent brake fluid.

The paint has gone on mine form heat and the fluid is still in there working the same. It's a little over due for a change too.

Decent pads, rotors and brake fluid completely change the way the 6/4 set up performs.

It's like getting a stg 3 kits for the brakes.

15 to 20 mtrs? I find this near impossible to believe.

This is true.

For a one off emergency stop, there is stuff all between them.

Front tyres make the biggest difference in stopping distance.

The 355mm Rotor size between the 4 and 6 pot is the same and even on the track for 5 laps at a time, there is stuff all difference.

I've been using 4 pots on the circuit for years.

Changing from street tyres/pads to circuit pads and slicks makes a MASSIVE difference.

FAR bigger difference than piston number.
