I use tranzmax in my t56 and don't have an opportunity to "warm up" my gearbox in the mornings... It selects 2nd gear easily when cold.

I find if I change fast enough or give a dab on the throttle to sync the revs with the driveline speed if doing a slower change will result in a smooth gear change.

How's your clutch fluid and where does your clutch start to engage at the bottom, mid?? Closer to the top?

As someone else suggested though skip gears as often as possible to preserve your box our 4l donks have no dramas with it.

Hey OED666 can you pls pass the message on to Mal that the clutch slave turned up 1st thing this morning and a big thanx for being so quick.

Thanx again guys

I got the Ba mk2 6 speed Manual and it won't go from 3rd down to second unless I select first then hit second and then clutch out ... And going from first to second it sometimes grinds or pops out but if I do it while givin it a bit it seems to be all good ... Does anyone kno if this is syncros or something along those lines or oil ?

Castrol changed the dye in Transmax Z, and that's all they claim is changed, however we have encountered a few shift quality issues with the TR-6060 and TKO. We are supplying DexIII with our new TKO's and TR-6060 based transmissions, however Transmax Z can still be used with the T56, as they have carbon based synchro's

Any further feedback with the Dexlll??? is it / was it as good as the old green coloured Transmax Z. I'm currently running the 'new' Transmax Z.

Cheers
