Hi guys,

Picking up my new set of dark argent replicas tomorrow. Only to find they do not come with the fpv center caps due to copywrite or some crap. Just wondering where I can buy these for a reasonable price, and whether its worth the price you pay for them at ford (whatever price that may be, maybe someone knows)

Cheers, John.

Yeh been on ebay. There is one set on there for $290 which is rediculous.

Not sure why they cant just sell them with the wheels.

I havent rung/ dropped into ford yet. But dreading my visit to them, my guess is probably $100 p/cap.

Yeh seems pretty crazy to me. Gonna call into ford after I get them put on and see what they cost. Any more than $150 for a set and il murder someone.

The caps they are giving me have a cobra or something on them the shop said. Sounds pretty gay to me.

Wow. Possibly, the dude at the wheel shop rang me and said the wheels had arrived and the caps we asked for arnt fpv, instead they have a cobra on them. They actually look quite hideous.

Quick question, are your caps plastic? If so. Do they look any good with your argents (you did have argents didnt you?) or do they really need to be the billet ones.

Thing is I found one set of plastic ones on ebay for $90 and auction is finishing in 2 days time

Genuine FPV caps are metal. $90 for plastic is a joke.

The other trap with some of the aftermarket wheel copies is the holes for the centre caps aren't the same size as the genuine ones, so you could go and spend hundreds on genuine caps and they still won't fit.

Well... Not happy!!

Just went to the wheel shop to get the rims put on. Only to find they are exactly the same as the pic fordfreak put up. They have them holes inbetween the wheel nut holes which look absolutely crap. So I told them I dont want them, and the guy is getting the boss to ring me to see what we can do about it... Also, the paint looks about 5 shades lighter than what it is suppost to be, dont you think?

Nice replicas though... NOT!

I was going to get the rims above too, the holes or the cobra thing doesnt bother me.

as for the colour there are some lighter greys out there, and some that are really dark too.

there is a new mob on ebay that are selling shyt loads of these. he has most common colours too. not bad. have a look
