Interesting to know what peoples thoughts are on injector spray patterns and their application in the Ford I6 port design? It was talked about years ago but has fallen off the radar since dekas and ID's became trendy.

Its interesting that the port design clearly shows that a dual cone spray is preferred (as per the stock injectors) but 99.9% of tuners and people are using single cone sprays these days.

Despite the Injector Dynamics range having the best performance and atomisation, they have the narrowest spray pattern of all meaning fuel will be hitting the bridge between the ports. This is what the lead distributor has to say here, http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=3034943 'A very nicely atomized spray of fuel turns to a very poorly atomized mist of fuel once it contacts port or runner walls. You want the fuel to mix with the air as much as possible without landing directly on the walls of the port'.

So what does this mean for us? Should we be going down the OEM path and using high flowing dual spray designs that squirt fuel towards the back of the valves? Some food for thought!

So where can you get high flow rate 2 spray long injectors?

The kpm website seems to have a picture of a ev14L 2 spray however according to bosch it doesn't exist. Unless the picture is just a generic picture and they don't really have a 2 spray 1000 or 2000cc injector.

I have injectors supplied by bluepower in mine, they use the factory injectors and get new director plates cnc'ed to flow more, much better then 'drilled' injectors. They use the same spray pattern as a standard injector. So far car is making 320rwkw with tons of room to move.

That's pretty cool airstrike and makes sense. There was a 1000cc EV14 twin spray but it was some stupid cost. I'll have to dig up the part number!

469-01 in the Bosch Motorsport link. E type is a twin spray!
