Hi everyone. I have recently ordered an XR6 Turbo ute with Luxury pack option in Silhouette and would appreciate some info. For starters to you guys that have this particular model ute, are you happy with it and is there anything in particular I have to look out for especially on delivery day? Is the standard tow bar pack adequate or is the Hayman Reece a better option? Is there any time needed to run in the engine? These questions for now, thanks and your time is much appreciated.

I think the run in time is about 2000-3000kms'

love the ute. premium package is great with the colour screen. im guessing if you have ordered now you will be getting a mk2 which has the better bigger screen

Nice purchase mate.

Advise to have a close look at your paint work as mine had overspray all over it when I picked it up. I doubt that it would be a common problem though. Also, get them to set up the bluetooth for your phone while your there & a detailed run through of all the settings & sat nav etc.

Yeh what irmc said. Reece hayman is always a better option. Can tow pretty much anything

yep mate just check everything. paint, lights, go for a test drive in it (radio off). check for dints.

make sure everything is there that you have requested and paid for. floor mats for eg.

get the hayman reece heavy duty. that way you can remove the tongue when not using it.

Oh and a good habit to get into is servicing every 7500 kays max. dont go by their servicing schedule at all. no no.

The so called peice of mind check that's free or whatever it is. GET and oil change done. if anyone doesnt agree with this just say so!!!

When running in, drive it like you stole it, my MK2 has 4500ks now and going great. If buying new dealer will show you how everything works, well mine did. Bluetooth works a treat on the MK2, much better than the early FGs, and the color screen is great. Enjoy it when it comes.

Also you should have got Kinectic, as Kinectic rules!!!!!!

Atleast in silhoette you wont notice how sh*t the paint job in engine bay is. Pazzos kinetic is a shocker in there for a new car in 2012.

Yeah not wrong, under the bonnet is a shocker, looks like they ran out of paint.

^^^ yep they are all like that. really disapointing. basically they only paint what you can see from the ouside with everything closed.

any paint on any of the under sides is a bonus ey ahahha
