Anybody Else Running Transmax Z In Their T5 Gearbox?

Hi Guys,

I recently switched over to running Castrol Transmax Z in my T5 manual gearbox. To be honest I think it does make an improvement. Anybody else out there have input who has done it?

The only negative (possibly) I have noticed is that when I have my foot off the clutch at idle there is a slight rattling noise from the gearbox, goes away when foot is on the clutch. Other than that is feels smoother.

Do you have the stock clutch or an aftermarket single or twin plate?

I always used transmax Z in my T5 on my Supercharged BA XR8 Ute and found it was good over the stock fluid with smoother gear changes and could also change faster without hassles of it slotting in. I had a mal wood flywheel with 11in single plate clutch and never had a rattle but have heard a heap of twin plates with rattles around the place?

I put transmaxZ in my ba xr6t not long after I bought the car, made a heap of difference with much nicer gear changes, especially when cold.

I also run it in a t5 I have behind a 351c in a XE, made a big difference in that and no issues in the year and a half that it's been fitted, it gets a fairly hard time too.
