Muffled like Trana said would be the go if you really want to do it. On the XR's the exit is at your feet so the racket feels amplified. Try and use a 45mm gate if you can, 38 and 40mm can be a little small for low boost applications....depending on other mods.

My old car had an external gate and screamer set up and with 10psi it sound like and exhaust leak.

Mate runs 23psi on his SR with a screamer and that sound nuts!

my ford sounds exactly the same on 8psi as it does on 17psi. just less power obviously. they are a huge motor and have no prob crackin gate real early in the rpm. mine is mounted off the housing though so it does crack easy.

anyone got anymore info on screamers for our cars? I heard spool do a kit aswell.. any one in melbourne do it?
