Valve Springs

Quick question if my valve springs are weakwill that cause the car to surge under harder acceleration

I'm pretty sure that's one of the signs of soft valve springs.

it will turn to sh*t high in the rev range then after taking foot off the throttle the car will run like a dog and revs will jump about and eventually it will settle out after a few seconds... well that's what I was told if springs start to get soft

Yes the revs drop to quick. If you give it a caning and pull up at the lights and the revs die in the arse its usually valve springs. Hard to get a decent tune with softies.

Just got the car back after the new springs were done and all the surging has gone ,well so far anyway.
