11/12/03 11:46 AM11/12/03 11:46 AM #5 I reckon one huge demographic that Australian car retailers miss is the high performance wagon. Where is our XR6T or XR8 wagon? Where is the Subaru B4 wagon? What else are we missing out on?And voy, don't get too carried away about Ford relying soley on the T to make money. I think it's quite difficult to walk in to a dealer and drive away in any BA. Yes, I know it is possible.Andrew

11/12/03 07:57 PM11/12/03 07:57 PM #7 The territory will be the next FPV car and once that's done there won't be no need for a hot station wagon, thank christ.I even think the XR8 will have die a slow death as it now has too much competition The GTHO is still years away and as GP said Ford ain't going down the 2 door pathBring on the FPV turbo
11/12/03 09:22 PM11/12/03 09:22 PM #8 GMH have a lot bigger market share (ie sell more cars) and seem to have more support from their US parent company than Ford. So Ford don't have the resources, both manpower and $, to compete. GP has said in the past it's not about how many cars they sell; FMC are in it to make a profit.
11/12/03 09:33 PM11/12/03 09:33 PM #9 Where is our XR6T or XR8 wagon? I agree, I would have a wagon tomorrow if an XR was available as we need a standard wagon for our family and a Territory is just not suitable.Ford, have a listen to the public for a change, surely with the popularity of the wagon and the XR, there would be demand for such a car, I'd even settle for a NA version of the wagon!
