hey guys

im looking at selling my ba xr6t and upgrading to a new falcon ,

I do like the sleeper look of the g6 but im a bit over auto and am looking at a manual fg xr6t.

will the standard fg clutch handle 310/330kw or is it in the same basket as the ba/bf clutch will it slip as soon as I up the boost etc?

There is no Option 3 for the FG XR6T, our entry clutch is the Option 3 Plus.

A new change for the FG XR6T Option 3 Plus is we use a V8 pressure plate with a Billet Steel Baseplate which has more clamp. We can supply this pressure plate as the FG flywheel has a lower offset flywheel. Unfortunately this doesnt quite fit in BA/BF's.

Should be ok. The second you get to 330 start saving for a opt5

FIXED!

Best clutch I have ever driven hands down

Hi Guys,

I regret buying the XR6T Manual because it has more transmission clunks than an auto. If I'd known that at the time, I would have gone for the nice ZF auto as used in Euro gems like BMW's. The Muttering Rotters say that the auto XR6T is faster. Does it have any down-sides?

I had my manual gearbox and diff shimmed by Mal Wood to reduce the driveline shunt. I understand that the torque convertor in the auto masks the shunt problem. True?

If not then auto is faster.

You can't expect a strong manual gearbox to be as smooth as an auto, try diff bushes.
